I know it's difficult to get along even with your own family (I've been there, believe me) but it's important to remember that we love each other. In fact, the fact that you swore you wouldn't make her cry, and the fact that you feel badly for violating that, means that you DO love your mother, which is a good thing. Try to focus on that, not on the negative side of actually making your mother cry. When you focus on the positives rather than the negatives, the negatives are easier to avoid.

In the meantime, I hope you and your mother will hang in there until you're reconciled to each other.

You have my support in the matter.

Joy: I've had a long heart-to-heart talk with my mum, and we talked our feelings out and sort out our problems. She also accepted my apologies. I feel so glad for that.
Joy: Also, I chatted with my brother, had a restful sleep and watched a lot of funny anime. Now I feel much better, and I'm not sad anymore =3

Actually, most of the time, that's a good thing. It means you know that you did/are doing something wrong. Makes it easier to fix the mistake when you know you're making a mistake in the first place.

Don't worry, the frustration will go away soon.

Yeah... it irritates me how he happened to pitch his hissy fit and walk off AFTER it was too late for anyone to replace him. The director is going to rewrite some of the trombone parts to try and compensate, though.

It's not as bad as our jazz band with its one trombone and zero other brass instruments. Hopefully this year will be better.
