I don't like Mario, but too far is too far,
the reply:
Nintendo wrote:"Mario often takes the appearance of certain animals and objects in his games. These have included a frog, a penguin, a balloon and even a metallic version of himself. These lighthearted and whimsical transformations give Mario different abilities and make his games fun to play. The different forms that Mario takes make no statement beyond the games themselves."
PETA should get a grip on themselves!

This is almost as idiotic as when they took a crack at "Super Meat Boy" with a game titled "Super Tofu Boy".

What are they trying to accomplish? Getting as many people to dislike them as possible?

You're being facetious but I think there's actually some truth there.

If my information is correct, the 'Sea Kitten' thing is a PETA campaign to have fish renamed, you guessed it, sea kittens.

EDIT: Ya, that's pretty much it. http://features.peta.org/PETASeaKittens/

Its quite illogical. Their extremist views only makes people ridicule them more. Why are they so serious about these video games instead of actually trying to help animals? Peta is crazy

I never take anything PETA proclaims seriously. I can understand occasionally what they *might* be trying to do that actually might even be remotely sensible but that's it. They sort of seem to me similar to religious extremists in many ways.

Sea kittens!!!??!?!!!
That isn't funny, all that effort put into nothing but... commercials!
I could think of three things that PETA should do that would actually live
up to what they stand for.

I was reading some of their quotes on encyclopedia dramatica. All my faith in everything died when I read that.

Umm... If you're sensative and/or a bit squemish please don't check out that page.

That website in general tends to kill peoples' faith in humanity. Good thing it's gone.

I read this article just moments ago

This is quite pathetic

I find it kinda funny how they can put so much effort to find that kind of fault in a video game

I saw this on the news some time ago and later learned that PETA called The White House to complain about this

The more I think about them, the closer I come to an uncontrollable tirade
