Forecast of 100 degrees tomorrow. I think I'm more likely to catch on fire watching fireworks than the scenery.

Sorry for the abrupt subject change, but I just realized something: My 15 year old girl cousin could probably beat me up.
Like I was just playing around and took her iPod and phone, and she chased me down and grabbed my arm and now I got like claw marks. Shes tough, and she fights dirty. Lol

If she really learned the message of martial arts, she'd have the discipline to not hurt you.

Unfortunately, learning is not the same as following and some people do in fact, practice martial arts to beat people up.

I just think that martial arts is a fun way to blow off some steam and maybe defend myself when diplomacy fails (and it has and I have)

I think I'll thank the guy who installed mine instead. It does no good to invent it of if doesn't get installed and then preform it's job.

All we have is a single window unit air conditioner. Its, meh... My room never cools down during the summer. We need central air, that's where its at.

Our AC unit never works terribly well. Mostly because of the placement of the vents. Our thermostat is literally right next to one, so it cools down relatively quickly (as does the room it's in), but everywhere else stays several degrees above where we want it. And so the rooms upstairs, including my bedroom, tend to stay a consistent 10-15 degrees hotter than the downstairs during the day.

Fortunately, sitting directly in front of my fan helps to balance it out a bit. Once summer weather really sets in though, it won't do much good. Plus, I have to turn it off when I'm recording, otherwise I get about double the background noise than normal, which would make the recordings pretty useless, quality-wise. Which is lame. :B

It's freezing here in Australia at the moment, like 5C which is about 41F or 278K or...

I'm not sure if I like the cold or heat better.

The heat sucks because getting in a hot car is worse than getting in a cold car since the temp in a hot car actually goes above the outside temp, but the AC (At least in mine) works almost instantly. Heat in a car takes a while since the engine has to heat up.

And as far as working in either goes, I don't care. As long as I have something to drink, I'll go work on a hot day.

I just hate weather extremes in general. I'd be incredibly happy with 70-75 degree weather (Fahrenheit, of course) all year round, to be perfectly honest. Unless I've got a really big pool or a beach trip planned, I have no desire for the usual summer weather; and unless it's going to be a huge blizzard with good snow for building forts and the like, I have no desire for typical winter weather.

Extreme cold is better than extreme heat for me. First, I hate being sweaty, and second, I can always wear more clothes but there are only so many clothes I can take off.

That's what I usually tell myself, but then winter rolls around and I find myself constantly huddled up under a blanket, shivering.

Maybe I should just make hot chocolate more often. :U

Question for our southern-hemisphere friends:
Do you say that it is winter now, or is summer just your cold season?

I will drink tea, hot chocolate, or soup in summer. As long as I'm in the AC and don't have to go back outside, I don't see any reason not to.

I make it even during the summer. of course, I have a machine where I just need to push a button and I get a mug full of hot chocolate. and I add chocolate milk so it isn't as hot.
