Wouldn't Chrysalis and Discord be more likely to be enemies than allies? I mean, she is an autocrat and he is an anarchist. Philosophically they are natural enemies.

What if the Mane Six are caught in a war between these two super powers of Equestria.

Exactly. They would be at odds also because of clashing personalities.

If they did go to war with each other they could easily devastate Equestria.

Hmmm...

Maybe they could join forces to try and defeat the elements of harmony, but their differences turn out to be their downfall?

Like, they defeat the main 6, and right after that they both yell out at the same time "Now I rule this land!", then start fighting with each other to see who gets to rule. Then they get defeated as the main 6 take advantage of the confusion.

But sometimes I think Derpy is becoming too powerful. What if she accidentally uses some of the black magic that she and Hellboy fought against?

So Celestia is "naturally" a unicorn?

I wonder if alicorns are a race all their own, or if it's a natural stage of progression for particularly powerful unicorns and/or pegasi.

I've always liked the idea that they are a race all their own personally, just very few in number. In my personal head cannon they come from some kind of magical mutation of a Unicorn or Pegasi during birth like once or twice every few thousand years.

The appearance and origins of alicorns as a species (or if they even *are* a separate species) has not been mentioned in the show. So as of now, it's up to each fan's personal interpretation.

I'd like to think they were one of many species that were prevalent several thousands years ago, but for whatever reason have thinned down to near non-existence in the present day. Some of those species include the alicorns, the draconaquus, the Ursa, and several others which have been mentioned throughout the show.

But I'm not terribly creative, and I haven't really put too much thought into fleshing that idea out. So, yeah.

LuLz. I think that the thousand years theory makes the most sense, but the only fault that I can think of with that is when Cadence showed up as an alicorn. There could me a reasonable explanation for that, but hey, I'm usually pretty quick to critique.

Edit: On a separate note, is anyone here any good with the program "Quest 5"? It's a program for making text-based games that simplifies the process for those of us without a background in programming languages by doing all of the coding for you. But it's still hard as heck for me because I don't know what anything really does or what kind of limitations I'm actually under. @___@

I'm starting to understand some of it, but I could definitely use a few pointers if anyone is familiar with the program. (Keep in mind that I literally started working with it a few hours ago.)

Edit 2: Right. I forgot that this really isn't the proper thread for that without some context. I'm attempting to make a pony simulation game with it; so that's why it's relevant. Kind of. :B

I've heard rumors of end of July or sometime in August but no proof of anything. Same here Sleet I'm glad that Cadence (and by extension Shining Armor) won't be forgotten completely.

I knew this would be a sweet team up! I love how they gave the time and location like in the comics. He seems to have Mignola's writing style and the character's personalities down. It took me a second to realize that's one of the Colossi from "Shadow of Colossus". That's a random choice in villains. Its "Almost Colossus"! Get it? Whatever...

They are excellent! They carry the Radio Blue Heart stamp of approval. It is easily my all time favorite comic, indy or otherwise.

The first story "Seed of Destruction" was the basis for the first film.

What do you think would happen if Derpy got the crown that controlled the Golden Army? Or who would win: Rasputin and his army of Sammael's or Chrysalis and her changeling army?
