Well it wasn't exactly intentional. She had her iPod going and didn't hear me come up. All I inteded to do was to put something in the cupboard next to her. I just happend to speak to her at the same time and she screamed and spun around with the knife. :P

I have a lot of fears. Heights. Spiders. Cockroaches(the flying ones). Screamer images. Jump scares. Mirrors(at night). The game SplatterHouse. Scissors(the big kind). Sirens(Silent Hill...). The phone ringing when you're all alone. That sound Lingering Will makes when you fight him in KHIIFM The car going really really fast(kind of gives me that feeling that it's gonna crash any second). The ground suddenly breaking(or Earthquakes in general). Accidentally hurting someone(or going insane).

I don't know if this is off-topic, but how many here dress up as whatever scares you the most at Halloween? I don't, but maybe I should.

One night I had a nightmare about scorpions, and then I saw a real one at the museum--and for some reason the idea popped into my head of wearing a scorpion costume, sort of like a luchador thing.

You want to be like The Rock in the Mummy 2, maybe?
Also, anyone with videogame traumas?

I played Splatterhouse 3 once. Once. And it ended with Jennifer giving off one heck of a nightmare face. The fact that the picture of her was low-res yet kind of realistic did not help. And the music. Oh God the music...

Okay, that is WAY too complex for what I was talking about! Mine was more like a luchador thing: mask and gloves resembling those of a scorpion, plus attached stinger.

Ethical debates aside, euthanising is pretty hard to stuff up unless you get the dose wrong. It's more things like surgical procedures or other invasive procedures like cystocentesis. I suppose being a little afraid is good though because it means I'll be extra careful not to make mistakes.

Alternately, you'll paralyze yourself when your patient most needs you. Every medical provider makes mistakes - everyone on this planet makes mistakes. Anyone who says otherwise has no clue. That you're nervous about making them is understandable and a good thing. Trust your training and knowledge, accept that those are not enough to prevent every mistake, learn from the mistakes you do make, and find a healthy outlet for any frustration you feel.

Yes, many people debate wheter it's better to tell them a bedtime story or feeding them warm milk from a bottle before you tuck them into bed.
Also, I'm paranoid that some people may actually read my mind. Paranoia itself also makes me fear for my future.

Reminds me of that one scene from Azumanga Daioh. Very funny, though rather scary when you think about it.

There's a big thunderstorm (more like a thunder fiesta) here at the moment, only this time without the heavy rain that usually accompanies it. Guess I could finally see why Chewy said it's scary; my adrenaline's rushing a bit xD Still, the welcoming cool breeze and the soft drizzle somewhat overrides the fear ^^

When I was 4, I watched the movie Swamp Thing. In it, there is a scene where a woman is running water for a bath. While she undresses, muck kind of seeps out along with the water. When she turns around, the Swamp Thing is there....

Somehow to me that translated to every time I flushed the toilet I ran out of the restroom at a fast pace.... I did this until about 12 years old.... For some reason I still get a jolt every time I hear a toilet flush.
