Poor Sten is gonna die if something bad happens in the middle of the wedding. He looks like he's having a heart attack already.

Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
Skip that, mate! I want to see DA KISS (last time Bailey interrupted it), and before that the vows. And yes I want to cry like a baby at this wedding.
Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
They're only vaguely acquainted with King; Grape threatened him with dismemberment, and Peanut knows him only as a foul-mouthed rage engine. They'd both be on better terms with Fox, which is a roundabout reason to attendSleet wrote:Acquaintances of the groom?

Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
I'm thinking it's probably 40% they know King, and 60% because they're the main characters. I mean King technically has met both of them. If I recall correctly King has met Grape, granted at the time he was not himself and she threatened to use him as a scratching post, and King has attend some Gool Ol' Dog club meetings, so he probably met Peanut at some point.Sleet wrote:Acquaintances of the groom?Sinder wrote:I was curious as to whether Peanut and Grape would be there

You know, that's a very good question now that I think about it. If not Fiddles and Keys, I definitely would've expected at least one of the Bigglesworths to be there.Keeshah wrote: Where are all the Biggleworths? seems cats were not invited, as there are only two maybe three there

Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
This is a dog-and-dog wedding. It should be expected that cats would be excluded. Only way that we would see mostly cats at a wedding is if Grape and Max (or two of the Bigglesworths) got married.Keeshah wrote: Where are all the Biggleworths? seems cats were not invited, as there are only two maybe three there.
Though, that might not happen, since I think that one of the main reasons that King proposed to Bailey in the first place is because he wanted to cling onto one more scrap of his humanity. The cats were never human, so that wouldn't be motivation. The attention might be one, though.

they're actually on the side that is mostly Bailey's family and acquaintances. maybe they got to know Bailey through Fox.Sinder wrote:They're only vaguely acquainted with King; Grape threatened him with dismemberment, and Peanut knows him only as a foul-mouthed rage engine. Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
Well, I think they are there because Rick was trying to please his audience, since everyone were claiming how much they wanted to see them in the wedding.Sinder wrote:They're only vaguely acquainted with King; Grape threatened him with dismemberment, and Peanut knows him only as a foul-mouthed rage engine. There's not always an explanation for everything, especially for little details like this. And if you want an explanation, use your imagination: Maybe King invited Peanut (they're known from the GODC) and then Peanut invited Grape (since Tarot isn't allowed in the wedding). Also, maybe Bailey invited Bino as a way to try to apologize with him for the "FACE" incident but he didn't wanted to assist, and Max took the invitation since he knew Grape was going too. Later, Tarot and Sabrina infiltrated in the wedding. There you have your explanation.
And even if they don't have a plot like King has, they're still main characters (and their popularity is as high as ever, though of course they're not even near to King).

I think Peanut and grape are there for king (and the cake) same as truck and Falstaff
Now that King is a dog does he cry to all dog's go to heaven???
Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
You could always say Fox did it. But then I would have to excuse Tarot for sneaking in. *faceintodesk*Sinder wrote:They're only vaguely acquainted with King; Grape threatened him with dismemberment, and Peanut knows him only as a foul-mouthed rage engine. I think they ARE still the main characters but, as they've been there since the off and there's only so many plots they can HAVE, the attention has shifted to some new(er) main characters for a bit. Nothing wrong with that.Gren wrote: And even if they don't have a plot like King has, they're still main characters (and their popularity is as high as ever, though of course they're not even near to King).
It's a great one, reminiscent of those comedy 'sporting' posters I used to see. Looks like Keene is holding a book titled "Wedding Sermons Vol. II (or 14)." Convenient way to lead a wedding, really.

They don't read like before.
Weddings, perhaps,
Are religious no more.
And ever more all people would say
That the Zealot's mind went twenty times crazier that day.
For he, unlike that green and hairy clown,
Picked pies, instead of gifts, and threw them all around!

Let's see, King's first appearance was in December 2009, I'd say it's been a long while, don't ya?Welsh Halfwit wrote:I think they ARE still the main characters but, as they've been there since the off and there's only so many plots they can HAVE, the attention has shifted to some new(er) main characters for a bit. I mean, he became the main character since the story is focused on him. Peanut and Grape are still main characters, but they are not as important as King since they don't hold any important role in the history by the moment. However, they're still very popular and loved by everyone due to their funny antics and mushy stuff X3
Re: 2013/05/27 - Here Come Da Bride
Nice panorama there Rick! I hope your hand is alright!
I love Sabrina. The Dog next to her thinks she is talking to him, and half the K9 unit is staring at her wondering who she is talking to.
Also, wow... big police dogs.
Which one of the ferrets is just lying down like that? He looks bored.
A lot of reporters around. Keene really knows how to make a spectacle. Also, where is Rock?
I like the Pirate Dog with the eye patch, and the girl dog showing interest in Zach.
I just noticed. That grey dog next to Eyepatch is sleeping!

Simon is the one lying down. Rock is in the back.
Griswold is also sleeping on the front row. The large dog behind him seems to be unamused by this.

Huh, I did not know that was a ferret. Thought it might be a cat or other pet...

Once again, I love the details of today's comic. Keep rereading the scene over and over again just for the small details.

Man Bailey looks beautiful in that wedding dress and it appears as though King isn't letting Pete ruin his plans.
However, I can't shake that feeling that something is going to go down

Ummm.... sorry GameCobra, guess again. The guy that you cropped isn't Mr. London, in fact i'm not really sure who he is? Mr. London's actually the blond guy with the laptop sitting on the left side of the worship hall along with the wolf pack, Milton ferrets, Karishad and Zach. That's not Boris, is Yeltsin.
Besides, I don't think there's a groom's side and bridge's side since it's most likely that everyone here were invited by King (remember Bailey is a newcomer in the neighborhood)
