They both look so romantic in the first panel...and the sound FX on the last panel are amazing.

I believe Tarot is still psychic.... telekinesis maybe?
Rigatoni is easier to eat! Look at them go! That is romantic, right?

I'm guessing either Tarots powers somehow or the Chef recognized what they were doing and went along with it because it was cute.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:how the heck did they order spaghetti if humans can't understand them here?
Love the last panel and the Alt-text so adorable.
Edit: I really like this arc so far, since it's given Tarot screen time that she really needs, but really if you don't just accept how their doing things as "Tarots Powers somehow" it kind of falls apart.

I'll be honest here, I don't think I've seen Lady and the Tramp in its entirety, either. All I really know is that one scene.

Since there's an HP version of "Lady & the Tramp", I guess their "101 Dalmatians" would be closer to a "Die Hard" type hostage movie given that Cruella Deville and the dogs (at least the adult Dalmatians) could communicate directly.
Rick, unless I'm doing something wrong, the main page seems to still be pointing to "To The Market, To The Market". I got here through the link on the forums page.

sometimes browsers cache an older version of the site. The new strip's on the home page for me, but I sometimes have the same problem. it'll fix itself

"Tarot's powers somehow" is kinda what is driving this WHOLE ARC. C'mon, there's something seriously flawed if we're complaining about people understanding Tarot and yet not complaining about universe surfing and anthros suddenly being quarupeds due to said universe surfing.IceKitsune wrote:I'm guessing either Tarots powers somehow or the Chef recognized what they were doing and went along with it because it was cute.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:how the heck did they order spaghetti if humans can't understand them here?

Seeing as how this is being played out, I guess Rick decided to pull a fast one and use the sequel's scene instead? Food for thought
Re: 2013/07/29 - Ciao Chow
Excellent, Peanut and Tarot. Classy as ever.
Both of their faces in the first panel are adorable. Rick just has a bad habit of drawing those all the time.
I noticed Peanut knocked the pretty candle off the table as they "Groumf" and "Omf" that rigatoni.

You have a point, but it's in human nature to constantly question things that shouldn't be questioned because the feeling of understanding calms the human mind. It's one of mankinds greatest flaws and strong points. ... in other words, we shouldn't question the questioning of others. I was thinking that might be the case, but there seemed to only be a handful of responses an hour after the comic had been put up, so I thought perhaps others were having the same problem, figuring Rick was delayed in posting it.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:sometimes browsers cache an older version of the site. In any case I see it is indeed now pointing to the new strip for me as well.

So they have the eating down pat, these dogs,
and the owner can comprehend them?
Maybe Tarot has been using her powers again
or perhaps he's just clearing his backlogs?
They make an adorable canine couple,
even without the clichéd mistaken kiss
that's been done so often in movies -
(Hot Shots Part Deux serves example.)
I sense their romantic night will be disturbed
by chasing cats crashing through the yard.
Grape with her fish, Max with his new boot
and, behind them, a fishmonger perturbed
by the theft from his little stall.
They'll need to run, one and all.

Why do I get the impression that Peanut and Tarot dine like this on dates even when they HAVE thumbs? <.<;

Oh my gosh! Tarot is even MORE ADORABLE! This arc is too good, though how exactly did Tarot even set that up? I wanna see her psychic powers in action.
Re: 2013/07/29 - Ciao Chow
Well, if you remember how they did it in Lady and the Tramp... However, I think the best part is you are suppose to go into this comic thinking that until the 4th panel, where it's pointed out they never watch the movie.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:how the heck did they order spaghetti if humans can't understand them here?

If you watch the clip I posted above, the chef puts the menu in front of Tramp and Tramp barks four times to indicate item four on the menu (I assume). I would think Tarot/Peanut did something similar.

And the mad sloppy "om nom nom" is perfect, of course that's how dogs would really eat a plate of pasta.
