Wow...PETA might turn out to be the ones to come to Sabrina's rescue? What a twist!
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
With the PETA back, maybe we'll see someone Joel knew.
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
I hope Fido can think of something that doesn't ruin his rep with the other dogs. Max, if you can hear me, hurry up with the workout already!
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
Because PETA has such a successful track record so far in this comic......WhoElseButQuagmire wrote:Wow...PETA might turn out to be the ones to come to Sabrina's rescue? What a twist!
I thought the wedding was going to be in Feraga? I guess Keene couldn't pass up more publicity.
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
Okay.... anyone but those Peta guys!!! Geez cannot they stay out of sight?
Either way if thats to free Sabrina from being forced to marry one she doesnt love anymore... Just Not The Peta!!!!

In the position they're in at this moment, I don't think they'll be able to rescue anyone.WhoElseButQuagmire wrote:Wow...PETA might turn out to be the ones to come to Sabrina's rescue? What a twist!
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
You'd think PETA would WANT a wedding that gives a pet more rights. Or maybe it's just a "let's picket them to get attention" moment.
Wonder if a wolf wedding would be anything like their first neighborhood get-together?

A kidnapping with that much of the press there? That'd be a pr and general group nightmare. It might get more attention than they are currently, but it'd do more harm to them then they'd go for.D-Rock wrote:You'd think PETA would WANT a wedding that gives a pet more rights. I highly doubt PETA stand any chance of doing anything with the wolves there. But maybe the wolves being distracted with PETA will give someone else a chance to do something. *nudge* Max ... Fido ... someone?!
Actually, an embassy is not considered part of the country it represents, it is still part of the host country. It still does enjoy immunity from the law of the host country though.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:Fact: and embassy is legally recognized as part of the country it represents. the wedding is in FeragaViath wrote:I thought the wedding was going to be in Feraga?

I liked how the comic has those TV bars/pixels on them. XD
His answer to the first question seems completely irrelevant.

And King may be the one who goes to rescue her. And then the suspicion will fall on him when the k-9's or Fox notices that he knew exactly where the PETA guys were going.GameCobra wrote:PETA?

Nah, I doubt King would have such an important role in this arc though I been wrong before.
PS: Good to see the PETA guys again! YAY!!
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
Let´s think of "Things Sabrina could do so she doesn´t has to marry that most likely wont happen":
-Run away from the country, escape to a third world country, change her name and her looks.
-Actually get married, then with the money of Feraga build a Time-Travel machine, go to the past when she met Jata and avoid that her young self promises Jata that someday they will get married (This plan is very likely to fail because of numerous reasons and even if it succeeds it may cause some paradoxes)
- Having herself arrested on purpose so that they must delay the wedding
Mod Edit: Sorry, no potentially controversial references are allowed.

Given some of Sabrina's affiliations, she might not have to go that far for time travel.Gbr23 wrote:Let´s think of "Things Sabrina could do so she doesn´t has to marry that most likely wont happen":

Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
So, Keene's been planning this a while, eh? NOW his real reason for hosting the King/bailey wedding comes through. Test run.
Is my grin wide and are my eyes fixed?
Is the camera on and other news all nixed?
Is my favour faked and my stand easy?
Is my manner calm and my voice breezy?
Are you ready to see me down at the station?
Are you showing the map of Feraga nation?
Are you seeing me talk to this wolf over here?
Are you seeing I'm brave and showing no fear?
Will the wild, soap opera ,wedding go as planned?
Will the bride jilt her groom or, with him, stand?
Will the idea of Royal Pets get you lot out of bed?
Will Mister Miles get off of the PETA guys' head?
We'll cover it all and bring it live on your screen
We'll bring you it all; here on Channel Fourteen!

I thought the wedding was held in Feraga, but this does gives Fido the opportunity of dramatic entrance. Go Fido, love must prevail.
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
It would be dramatic if Fido made an entrance all the way in Feraga, staying in Babylon Gardens just makes more sense.EvanAierkan wrote:I thought the wedding was held in Feraga, but this does gives Fido the opportunity of dramatic entrance. Go Fido, love must prevail.

I like the look of worry on Miles' face in panel #3 as he realises he's LIVE on television! Is he worrying that his wife is watching, considering what he said in panel #2?

Fido, Max, and Concord should go all Final Fantasy 10 on this wedding! Except without all the weapons, magic, and failure.Hedronal wrote:It would be dramatic if Fido made an entrance all the way in Feraga, staying in Babylon Gardens just makes more sense.EvanAierkan wrote:I thought the wedding was held in Feraga, but this does gives Fido the opportunity of dramatic entrance. That would make it REALLY dramatic!

Oh man here comes PETA again. But the last time they showed up we got a new character, and maybe they could help Sabrina so....mixed feelings.

I think the ones that will save the day will be PETA, or Fido, or PETA and Fido

- Kill Jata and frame Keene (and possibly Bino) for the crime
- Make Jata never born ... Or make him be born female
- Have Sam Beckett leap into Jata to set right what once went wrong
- Douse Grape in black fur dye and let her get married behind a vail
- Strand Jata in Gallafax
- Reveal that Jata is none other than Pete trying to get her out of the way
- Make it look like she drowned in Keene's WaterPark Waterpark so Keene will stop everything to avoid the bad publicity.
Re: 2013/10/21 - Somebody's Getting Buried
This is not actually true: http://www.tbd.com/blogs/tbd-arts/2011/ ... 10827.htmlRandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:Fact: and embassy is legally recognized as part of the country it represents. the wedding is in Feraga
While it's a courtesy to treat foreign embassies in D.C. as foreign soil, and while they do enjoy certain privileges and immunities, stepping onto the property of the embassy of Trinidad and Tobago is not the same as setting foot on a tiny little slice of Trinidad and Tobago, regardless of those steel drums that will greet you tomorrow. You're still in America, obviously, and American laws still apply on embassy grounds, even if the diplomats within are granted immunity.
Limited immunity, mostly limited to actual embassy staff and designated individuals, and apart from actual representatives the immunity amounts to police having to ask permission to enter the embassy. As the article says, if you enter an embassy with a lower drinking age... that doesn't give you the right to take a sip if you're under-age in the host country.ArcFlight wrote:Actually, an embassy is not considered part of the country it represents, it is still part of the host country. Also, Feraga probably isn't a "micronation". Micronations are regions that claim sovereign status but are not recognized internationally, like Hutt River Province in Australia. You can't "close the borders" of a micronation.

That smile...it creeps me out.
Oh, and now PETA's back. Lovely. I wonder what sort of stubbornly closed-minded tactics they've got planned this time. =D Because grabbing the most harmless-looking animal around and running away didn't seem to work too well in the past.

Oh, definitely PETA; they're a group of closed-minded idiots who are blind to the harm they'd cause if they got their way and too stubborn to even try to consider any other cause outside of animal liberation. Plus, they have a surprisingly large number of people on their side. Miles here might be standing on a few, but who knows how many others have found another way to interrupt the wedding?WhoElseButQuagmire wrote: Which is worse...PETA or creepy Entertainment Tonight guy? A creepy smile, on the other hand, can be wiped away by simply catching the person off guard (as displayed in the last panel).

Since Miles and Lucretia have Roman names I think they are married more in the Roman sense. In Ancient Rome, all you had to do to get married was to declare yourselves married publicly. To get divorced, you just announced it publicly also. Since marriage and divorce were so easy to get, that is why Roman punishment for infidelity were so draconian.

Noticed this straight away. I just love these small touches/details in Housepets! It's the little things that count :3GeckoZY wrote:I liked how the comic has those TV bars/pixels on them. XD
Miles is so adorable! I also felt that he seemed slightly taller than he should be, I'm glad the last panel explains it XD
Also, his full name:
