Hutch sighs and thinks for a moment.
Right now, we are no where near getting into the tunnels yet. We need information first, and we need a human to get that information. Hutch replied.
And the paranormal activity was just the first stages of the site. We do more of the treasure hunt thing now. Hutch added.
And the rapping on your window was either just a tree, or you need to call the police.

After being checked over by Leroy, Leslie retrieved his borrowed book and trotted into the living room. He hopped up onto the sofa and tried to read it but fell into a nap before he'd reached the end of the first line and sprawled over the furniture.

"A zoo? Er, well..." Flynn fumbles, trying to think of an explanation that won't offend the wild animals.
"It's a place where humans let wild animals live from a variety of countries and places but they have the animals separated by species or type into enclosures made to look like their natural habitat. The humans feed them and come to see and talk to the animals, but zoos also do a lot of good work by helping to breed endangered animals to release back into the wild, raising awareness of animal and environmentally related issues like poaching, habitat destruction, all that kind of thing. most of the animals there seem happy enough but then I suppose most were probably born there and so don't know anything different. Oh, er, Blick, Senka, this is Mercury, by the way. Mercury, this is Senka and Blick."

Hey Cleo, I need to to the hardware store, to finish this repair. You need anything while i'm out.

Oreo's looks up from where he was laying in his skunk bed. But then scrambles over to his Dad's side, his diaper crinkling.
Can i go for the ride with you! can i? can i?? he asks in an excited voice.

Scrambling outside to the car.. waiting for his owner to catch up. climbing up into the passenger seat.
Can i take the diaper off now? I don't know why miss Cleo says i have to wear this. I haven't had an accident in the house in a really, really long time now..
She worries about you having a different type of accident, an spraying in the house.
But go ahead an get out of them if you want to sport.
Oreo looks a bit taken back, laying back his ears. His emerald with gold streaked eyes going wide.
I wouldn't never do that!!..............again. Not in are big new house!!
pulling the adhesive straps off and wiggling out of the protective gear, kicking it into the passenger floor.

Gorge buckles Oreo up into the seat, then goes around to the drivers side. As Oreo rolls down the window to stick his head out. An they head off down the road.
Oreo hangs his head out into the wind as they drive down the road.. watching the world go by, when there is a sudden bang an thump, an the car starts wobbling and slowing down, and they pulls over to the side of the roadway.
Gorge turns on the hazards and gets out of the car, going around to the passenger front tire.
Oreo unbuckles the belt and leaps out of the open window..
&^%$^&&^% flat tire! Looking over as Oreo leaps out of the car an lands at his side.
An don't you go repeating that!

Never-mind.. Stay close and don't go wondering off.
Oreo nods, an starts sniffing around.. WOW there are so many different smells here, sniffing here, leaving his own marking there.. Looking to see that his owner has opened the trunk of the car, an was turning something that was magically raising the front of the car up! Gorge looks over checking up on the skunk, Oreo waves, and he waves back and goes back to work on the tire..
what the.. what was a screwdriver doing out in the middle of the road!
Breaking the lug nuts loose.

Oreo meanwhile was back to exploring all these new scents..pushing through the bushes as he goes.
As he comes out the other side, the sight of all sights, a group of animals! with there humans as well..
Oreo bolts from the bushes, running across the clearing to meet up with all those new people!

Hutch's ears stand up even taller at the sound of "Mental Health Specialist", and he slowly tip-toes away from his position next to John, and off to the bushes where he can get a good foot hold on the tree next to it.
Suddenly, bump!
Hutch walked into something warm and fluffy. This didn't make him fall over, and he caught the thing gently, just in case it were to fall.

but the state Rangers have them on staff, an send them to where ever there needed.

Oreo slides to a stop, getting up from running on all fours, fluffing his tail out behind him.. those with sharp noses can now smell his skunk musk, now that he is closer to everyone. his own nose wiggling as he takes in all the amazing scents everyone has about them.
My owner calls me Oreo... which is also my favorite type of cookie to eat...he adds..
Oreo turns about in circle to wave at all the pets, before coming back around to Blick who is now holding out her paw. he sniffs at it, she is not offering anything, was he supposed to have brought her something? Tilting his head off to the side...?
Oh wait! he has seen his dad do this before!! he takes her paw in both of his, shaking paws..

Doc took the rejection in stride, annoyed that everyone doubted his medical abilities but seeing how crazy this town was he may have more chances unfortunately. As for now he just nodded and when the vet left and Nadia thanked him he nodded

Stryder crinkled his nose at the smell of the skunk; he hadn't ever smelt a skunk before but he immediately found the smell unpleasant. He resists covering his nose for fear of offending the skunk and forces a smile onto his muzzle. "Hello Oreo! I am Stryder." He kindly waves at Oreo, but doesn't move closer.

"Hmm..." Senka looked skeptically at Flynn. In her experience, wild animals living in enclosures weren't very happy wild animals. Though the way the rabbit portrayed made it sound differently. Maybe this was were different humans than she was used to. Maybe like the ones around here.

Black and white fur. She knew exactly what it was.
Which was why she quickly backpedaled a few steps away from it. Her eyes locked onto it cautiously as her fur began to bristle.

Oreo churrs softly, while he is shaking paws with the vixen, when he is bumped up against, and then hugged?
Fortunately this all occurred gently and slowly enough that Oreo is neither surprised nor feeling threatened by the actions.

Oreo waves back back to this group, who seem to be more reserved than the others, as they are keeping there distance.

Oreo notices Stryder's struggle with facial contortions. but before he could comment on that, he spies the largest cat he has ever seen! but unlike the other pets here this one seemed scared and was backing away from the group.

Faust starts to notice the gravity of the situation and desperately attempts to redirect Oreo's attention.

"Hello Oreo, My name if Faust. Me and Elliot are twins. We're both not dogs, we're Jackals."

"(Hahahaha, Elliot really doesn't have a clue.)"

"I suppose I shoudl call Officer Friday then, right? We've got his card somewhere, I think." Seeing the skunk, Joan tenses slightly, ready to move if needed.
"Er... do you think he's likely to spray us? I've never had any experience with skunks and the impression I get from the movies is that I don't want to either..."

Flynn smells the skunk too but not having smelled one before, he has no idea what it is and instead percieves Senka's raised hackles as the immediate threat and so, ignoring the smell and the new arrival, he unconciously backs off slightly as his ears return to their alert position.

John stops his dance as his leg muscles unclench. "Ah, that's better. Sorry about that. I might stay standing for a while though." he says, massaging the afflicted limb.

With a huff Senka flattened her fur but kept a careful eye on the skunk.
"There's a skunk." The lioness said, and though she realized it was pointing out the obvious, people around her were not reacting like they should be.
Unless...
"Wait..." Senka sighs out of her nose, her shoulders sag slightly (more out of exhausted annoyance)

Leslie finally put two and two together about that noise and bolted for the bedroom to help Vera up. "Vera," he asked whilst giving her her crutch, "Yew OK?"

To play along with the 'joke', Chip sneezed as only a mouse could sneeze. She hoped her eyes weren't watering as she didn't want to use the 'bad memories' line.

My owner says, i'm a western spotted skunk.

No. not as long as we don't make it feel threaten. but it is a spotted, there musk is stronger than a striped skunks is.
Kandi tries to sniff the air.. without getting up and moving around too much.
Can you smell it from here? I don't smell anything unusual.

It seems to be really calm and relaxed with all the pets gathered around it. You think it might be a de-scented pet skunk? That would explain why it was awake now. Can you see a collar?she asks Joan.

Flynn smells the skunk too but not having smelled one before, he has no idea what it is and instead perceives Senka's raised hackles as the immediate threat and so, ignoring the smell and the new arrival, he unconsciously backs off slightly as his ears return to their alert position.

John stops his dance as his leg muscles unclench. "Ah, that's better. Sorry about that. I might stay standing for a while though." he says, massaging the afflicted limb.

John is more observant than Joan and has quite good eyesight so when the skunk comes up closer to introduce itself to Blick and Mercury he's able to point something out to the ladies.
"I think he might be a pet. Look closely at the fur around his neck and over his back. You can see it's depressed and messed up a bit. I think he's been wearing a harness and for quite some time too. And he did just mention an owner so... Must be a pet."

Flynn still hasn't addressed the skunk, his attention still on Senka.
