Let's all make a present to Uncle Deadeye! He so deserves it!

Well, I was hoping for more out of Jata than an anti-climatic flight out of town. Love Fido's face in the 1st panel.
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
Strangely enough, I really like this ending a lot.

He was humiliated beyond belief. Of course he won't apologize.Xane wrote:This is what you get when you don't take "no" for an answer. Did Jata even thank Fido for saving him? Probably not. What a JERK.
In other note, muffins and cookies satisfying that a little brawl and heroic action won the day. Sabrina telling friendzone is a myth? Oh Sab, really?
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
To be fair, we've only actually seen Tarmac and Gambit twice, their names have just stuck around. I think Jata'll probably be sticking to Feragan soil for awhile.Xane wrote:But... but we haven't seen Tarmac and Gambit in ages!

Jata looks like a housecat that fell off a television and is now mad that you laughed at it.
I wonder if this means Uncle Deadeye is now King of Feraga.

I think Jata has just straight up had ENOUGH of Babylon Gardens and everyone that lives there.
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
OK, I'm gonna ask a stupid question: what is friendzone?

The point after a relationship ends and the other person is like "we can still be friends". Yeah, it's often a myth.Muninn wrote:OK, I'm gonna ask a stupid question: what is friendzone?
Fido and Sabrina look really cute together there in the first panel. At least they don't have to hide their relationship anymore.
Okay, so Sabrina keeps her cool pretty well (better than Fido there).
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
Jata can't respond because his jaw was wired shut until he recovers from "fighting with" Deadeye. But from that face, Sabrina, I would say that there is no bad blood and that you can visit any time!

It's when inexperienced guy tries elevate a friendship with a female into a real relationship, only to get shot down. Essentially what happened with Peanut and Grape, they both had close friendship but Peanut wanted more, but Grape didn't. That means Peanut got friendzoned. Tonights arc Jata experienced the same thing with Fido and Sabrina.Muninn wrote:OK, I'm gonna ask a stupid question: what is friendzone?

Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
Happy smiles from the one who won
as noble Jata flies off, back to his home.
They don't know the trouble has just begun,
with others judging their fates again.
Now Fido's free of the secrecy pact
and rubbing it in to the defeated.
The sight of his paw on her shoulder
is one Jata doesn't want repeated.
Through the plot, characters have grown
but Jata's not happy at this end.
At his will, most things will bend
but Sabrina's one thing he can't own.
The pair are united, their strength's combined
but their local standing is still undefined.

Well, Fido, now you got 3 weeks of free snuggles. Let the world take care of itself, yours will be filled with sweet love <3 <3
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
Sabrina and Fido stay a couple, Fido is no longer co-founder of the GODC and Jata returns home with no wife and a black eye and broken arm. Happy ending for everyone!
Re: 2013/11/27 The Tarmac Gambit
Well, that went rather well, considering what just happened.

...Something tells me that Jata would prefer it if he never saw Sabrina again.
It's...kind of self-explanatory. It's basically when you're "just friends" with someone who could be or once was a love interest, although there might be some bitterness between the people in the friend-zone depending on how they ended up in there and how badly it went down. The situations vary from a break-up, to one or both people in question having feelings that they're too cautious/shy/insecure about to even attempt to pursue, to an attempt that was made but got shot down.Muninn wrote:OK, I'm gonna ask a stupid question: what is friendzone?

Well, Peanut still gets cuddles, which apparently is more of a friend thing than in the human world; snuggles are apparently more special.valerio wrote:Oh, but he was! He manly left the placeHukley wrote:That face! Worth a thousend words!

Honestly, I don't think that highly of the GODC; it's a tradeoff, but Fido seems to have gained more than he lost.Iceheart wrote:Sabrina and Fido stay a couple, Fido is no longer co-founder of the GODC and Jata returns home with no wife and a black eye and broken arm. Happy ending for everyone!

He get cuddles, but not that kind of cuddles. There's the difference.andyyee wrote: Well, Peanut still gets cuddles, which apparently is more of a friend thing than in the human world; snuggles are apparently more special.

Well, it seems snuggles (based on King's reaction) are different than cuddles; maybe I'm reading into itEvanAierkan wrote:He get cuddles, but not that kind of cuddles. His first appearance: Looks quite good, I like him! He must be choosing Babylon Gardens for a vacation
His latest appearance: Defeated and angry, going home to never ever admit his wrongdoings against someone's relationship, over childish feelings he refused to grow up from. He was a great disappointment, not even the great Toa Pohatu wouldn't want him to be in his village now.

I mean Toa Pohatu is the toa of stone, from the desert of North Mata-Nui (Po-wahi), and Africa has 2 things, one of them is "Mercyless ammounts of deserts and savannas", and Jata is most like from the latter mix.
