[ Cold Snap ]

Title Text: Spirit, from the Latin spiritus, literally ''breath'', hence the holiday spirit is letting your breath show as much as possible

I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. :3

I can imagine at least one of them being disappointed when they meet Zach.

That raccoon is looking quite feminine today.

Moreso than usual.

...

Openermas? I'm looking forward to this arc for many reasons. =3 ...and Zach's reactions. X3

so is Openermas the celebration of the anniversary of Zach's arrival in Babylon Gardens? and if so, would you have done this arc even if he hadn't been introduced in a Christmas strip?

also, is the anniversary of Zach's opening the door to Pete's temple the woodland critters' equivalent to Easter?

Those forest animals are gettin technological. Using matches and candles and stuff.
Also is the title of the arc some Christmas themed quote/movie title I can't think of?

Oh, he probably does - when he applies ink.

Opening the door on a new, leading, lady,
Ink reminds us how cold it is out there.
Too cold and white for anything shady
and much too cold for any to bear.
Shut that flamin' door right there!
Head under paper, trying to be dead,
Jess just wants to be left alone.
Instead the holidays are inside her head
and the opener's inside her zone.
Perhaps it'll be warm in his home?
From paper bed that's too cold to handle
with plant pot seat and no lock.
That thing she lights, dear kids, is a candle
and, soon... Zach's in for a shock...
Hope his courage is up for a knock.

I've noticed Rick likes to use a lot of Latin in arc/strip descriptions.

It's official. Zach is Jesus. Joking of course, but it is all coincidental when I think about it. (probably just me)
It would make the Latin references make sense, though.

Yet given that on the day of the opening, it was Pete that resurged, not Zach, Pete would be Jesus as well. I don't know if the christmas introduction timing of Zach was intentional for Rick in this, but either way it fits funnily. I do have the question though, how does one get the name Custom Ink?

More likely he used to use ink to simulate the normal Raccoon Mask.

Great start to a new arc!

Openermas carols you say, Zrip.

God rest you merry, woodland critters,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember what Zachary
Did on Openermas day,
To bring forth a golden age
When we were gone astray;

... terrible!

Time to look through the books and see how Zach arrived. Curse my spotty memory.

And at first I thought those were tiny milk crates.. but then I see how big possums can get.
