Appearance: Charles is a mouse with grey fur (not sure if church mouse or door mouse).
He wears tired and tattered navy blue pants and shirt, though the shirt is most often than not wrapped around his waist, showing his fluffy chest.
Charles also has a wide gash across his face, going from one cheek, up around the muzzle(?), and down to the other cheek.

Personality: Charles is usually a well behaved 10 year old boy, doing as he's told when he's told to do so. When he is around his older brother, Charles becomes very playful and happy, more than when he's with just his friends.

BackstoryCharles' group from Noonvale decided to travel south to visit the abbey that Martin the Warrior helped build.
The plan was to sail across the ocean to Salamandastron, then hike to the abbey. But, on their way, Charles' group was attacked. Charles and his grandfather were the only 2 to make it out of the attack.
+ Another notable fact is that he has an older brother that he adores, who stayed behind to protect Noonvale, against the chieftain's will.
His brother is one of the few beasts who use weapons to protect their beloved home.

Name: Vincent "Laterose" Voh

Specie: Mouse

Neighborhood: Redwall

Appearance: Unlike his brother who has grey fur, Laterose has orange fur, and His eye color is brown. He wears a pair of black pants, and a grey shirt with an embroidered rose on the back. Laterose wields a rapier with a rose engraved into the handle, as well as a small dagger.

Personality: (I wrote a lot of backstory, so I cut it short. Here is the short version.)
Laterose is a quiet person who normally keeps to himself, usually keeping a blank face. But when he is around his little brother, Charles, his face brightens up, and he plays around with him.
When in battle, he speaks only when needed, and when interrogating an enemy, he leaves a blank face and talks more calmly, and the feeling that "every second is your last" arouses in each vermin he speaks to.

Backstory: When Vincent was little, he would walk with his grandfather past the old Marshank battlefield to meet with the shrews. Marshank was always rocky, and it never grew vegetation, and Vincent always remembered that.

On one particular night, going back home, Vincent saw a billow of smoke in the direction of home.
When he got there, there were burnt houses and trashed fountains. Luckily, no one was hurt (thanks to a regiment of long patrol going waaay up north).
But, there were quite a few vermin tied up on the ground.

That night, grandfather argued with father, the chieftain that we needed to teach the village how to fight. But, father said that they never needed to learn how to fight, and that they were peaceable creatures. The argument was dropped, and nothing changed, and the feeling of insecurity grew in the young mouse. With a new brother coming along the way, this place wasn't safe.

So, Vincent and a few friends found the retired long patrol hare and had him train the group.
The small group grew to be a bigger group, which caused the chieftain to forbid them from training in the art of war.
Vincent rebelled, saying that the reason that his ancestor, Laterose of Noonvale, died at Marshank was because there weren't enough people who knew how to fight, and that Noonvale needed protecting.

Thus, the Laterose Patrol was born.

Sorry, my characters bring in a lot of history from Martin the Warrior, introducing lands up north, as well as Salamandastron, (if it hasn't been already.)

Martin the Warrior is by far my favorite Redwall book, and I'm re-watching the tv series for the umpteenth time because I joined the roleplay.
