Yo, the name is Batty
The logic is erratic
Potato in a jacket
Toys in the attic
I rock and I ramble
My brain is scrambled
Rap like an animal, but I'm a mammal.
I'm Batty!

I been brain-fried, electrified, infected, and injectified
Vivisectified and fed pesticides
My face is all cut up
Cause my radar's all shut up
Nurse, I need a check-up from the neck up
I'm Batty!

Okay I'm using my second human character slot now. Do I need to make a ref sheet for both my human characters?

Also would it be alright if you guys met my bat later in the tunnel exploration?

For that to happen either they'd have to get right to the end of the tunnel where it opens and has a wide and exposed entrance in the woods somewhere, like Mister Badger's burrow, for instance, but I can't see them walking that far. The other option would be if the bat had somehow gotten lost in the tunnels and couldn't find his way out again so he could rely on the others to get him out again.

Cinnamon passed an entrance near town that was blocked by a tree. A bat could probably get in and out, depending on how big bats are in HP!world.

Of course I can! It's not even in the caves yet! The real question is whether I want to find a bat, I mean really, they're just mice with wings. And they don't really rap like in the movie. They just fly around eating bugs.

Funnily enough, the French word for bat translates literally as "Bald Mouse".

Ever met an Australian Flying Fox, Sixtoes? They're a little more than just flying mice. ;)

But that's how Cinnamon talks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhQkf-LmsGZw

Except mustelids start off hyperactive like that.

Except sea otters because all they do is float around all day and eat starfish and clams and things and groom their fur I mean if I groomed that much I'd look like I had mange.

Uh, yeh, anyway, that's the baseline. Cinnamon is hyper for a mustelid.

I'll see what I can do, but coming up with coherent run-on sentences is already hard enough and one of the reasons I dropped out of RP was that I couldn't get the energy together long enough to pull it off.

Personally I don't find Sixtoes too difficult to understand because at least his sentences, although long, are coherent. I can see how some punctuation could streamlines things though.

I find the lack of commas in Six's speech is one of his really fun and unique points , when I read his lines I keep imagining a hyperactive weasel , who can't stop talking while jumping around doing all sort of signals like in the cartoons , and that's pretty funny to think about and one of the reasons I love him for . Beside like Hlaoroo said ,his speeches are actually not that hard to understand . I get that it is encouraged for people to use normal way of writing/speaking , with punctuation and all that , but I think this one should be an exception . But that's just me

They exist around the forums.

The issue here is with actual processing of his speech, the same reason I'm not generally keen on having characters around with intense accents. It all comes down to how well any given person can get the intended meaning out of a piece of text. While this is a light case, it still hard to get past the weird cadence of the words.

I'm not asking Argent to completely remove his character's long-winded speech pattern, but I must request that it be made a little easier to process.

While I understand that this all sounds silly, I do believe that this is a genuine obstruction to some readers

How deep is the river? Or will we not be going there as Nadia said? I just don't want this happening in the, presumably, cold tunnels:

Who knows? They river comes into the cave at one end and flows out of the other. Underground rivers don't tend to be too deep as far as I'm aware but I'm not an experienced spelunker so I could be wrong. This river has a strong, swift current though and it was deep enough to be over Flynn's head, so they won't be swimming at all. Besides, it'll actually be quite cool underground. Caves (at least in my area) tend to stay at around 9C/48F year round. The water temperature will probably be colder than that. Flynn does want to take some pets down there though because that cavern is quite impressive with the stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, straws, and other rock formations.

You must hate the molespeak over in Redwall. :P

It's not silly. Your request is quite reasonable. Since we're communicating only via text, it is important to be clear as to our intended meaning, especially in the RPs where that's integral to telling a story. I think what we're worried about is that changing Sixtoes' speech patters will change the way he appears or acts as a character. Would you be okay if Sixtoes' keeps the long sentences if Argent puts punctuation in, Esper, or would you rather them be removed altogether?

I actually quite enjoy trying to read Sixtoes' dialogue aloud in one breath. :P

I will be honest, I am not a fan of molespeak.

I absolutely would be okay with that. My request is only that he modifies his speech just a bit to make it a little easier to process. I never had anything against long sentences
