Amazon announced the opening of their 3D printing service
What does it mean, for us?
I think that Rick could realize some original drawings of our favorite comic -and from his other works, such as "Bravo Charli", or "Argo", "The Last Ennaead", etc., and hand them to Amazon so that them guys will do the printing on a need-to-buy basis and, MOST important, without additional production costs for Rick Griffin!
Think about it: we could build our own character collection one piece at a time, including stuff like the Soulwatch, or paraphernalia like Sabrina's magic wand....Rick would make some extra money out of it, and he wouldn't have to create stocks of stuff at the risk of having some unsold!
I hope this idea can go forward in the future, it IS the solution that could make everyone happy
Merchandising: This time, it IS possible

That reminds me, how does that even work? Does a 3D Blender model need to be made and sent to them or what?

Good lord. Imagine "Make your own Fate pocket watch"

This is great for 3D figures of the characters!
Should be something similar, or it may be needed in CAD format.D-Rock wrote:That reminds me, how does that even work? Does a 3D Blender model need to be made and sent to them or what?

I think I saw a thread here about someone wanting to make a 3D model of Peanut a while ago. Don't know how it went.

I don't think we are there quite yet guys. We've come a long way, but Rick's just reached the point that he can begin to pay bills and whatnot, to do merch right is going to take more. Let me see if I can get Rick in here to comment.

I know Chu of Slightly Damned used to do merchandise but she was a college student and I know that it was very hard for her even when she did have help.
