Veil helped the newcomers up and scanned them. Every Hero but James was intrigued, having not yet met the cy-pet. James merely gave him wave in greeting, both being from Apollo City, and walked over with the others to greet the others. Delilah and Mario greeted Herodotus and Laika, all from Exotic Acres. Flukely glanced at Dexter and Felicity, feeling like they were supposedly in his town of Richmond Acres. Mickey walked over to Ion and Eon, all three being from Applegate and having meet, and kneeled down to their height.
"Ah need ya'll to tell me where those shadows went."
The twins looked at one another then shrugged.
"Sorry Mickey," they chimed in unison.
Mickey sighed to the Heavens, tipping backwards and landing on her back. Tilting her head back, she saw another ferret, this one with a whiteboard. He wrote something down and showed it to her.
"Name's Alphabites. Sorry we can't help you, but we were only able to chase them outside, we didn't see exactly which way they ran."
Mickey merely smiled and stood up, ruffling Ion and Eon's headfur. She trudged back to her "siblings" and sat down, watching over the group she belonged with. Flukely was questioning Veil like a nerdy child at ComicCon. Delilah was showing off some of her moves while Mario had a chat with Bradley and Fleta. James was taking slight steps away from an advancing Aurora, who had her eyes on his lapis beads.
Sylvester nudged Zoroaster to catch his attention, then gestured to the cut on Mickey's neck. It was oozing what appeared to be black slime. The two walked over and tapped the cats knee.
"Your neck is, uh, 'bleeding'?"
Mickey used her spear as a mirror to look at the cut. Huffing, she put the weapon down and it disappeared again. She glanced at the two and their medical kits. She sighed as she removed her handkerchief and set it aside, signaling for the two to do whatever they were gonna do.
Flukely, after calming down from his hype, stood up. He nudged his "brothers" and "sister" before walking over to where Mickey was putting her handkerchief back on. She felt the stitches and stood up, facing her fellow Heroes.
"Thank you all very much for allowing us to take up your time, but we really must be going now. You are all in danger if we stay here, so we must leave before they come back."
The Heroes waved goodbye as they walked toward the door. Othello looked at Tutter, who merely shook his head. Delilah opened the door and walked forward, but the only thing her nose met was a wall. She yipped and took a step backwards, holding her nose. While Mario attended to it, James walked back over to the ferrets.
"Hey, why isn't there, you know, an outside?"
Meeko stepped up.
"Cause Civil only lets us roam free outside when we have to go back to our towns to continue interaction. Any other time, it's just hang time in the mansion."
James nodded and walked back over to his "siblings". Putting his fists together in front of him, he glowed a very light blue and spread them apart, summoning his bow. He pulled back and began firing arrow after arrow into the wall. The ferrets watched in confusion at the newcomers.
"These guys are weird."
"Yep."

The Shadows had, however, used the darkness to escape. They slipped into the shadows and fled the building through the shadow of it outside. From there they ran until them came across a dark cave and hid there.
Icky licked at Faker's wounds, holding the bigger dog like a lioness would hold her cub. Monstrous grumbled at the sight as Delusion finished with her treatment of bandages and pressure on his wounds. Jerk chewed on his new scabs only to get a thwack on the nose from Icky.
"Don't pick at them, you idiot!"
"Sorry, apologies."
Icky snorted air from her nose turned back to Faker, who was laughing at the little bugs in the dirt. Icky sighed stood, deeming Faker fine enough. The black cat paced, Faker's attention being turned to her swaying tail. The other dark creatures watched her, they're colored eyes following her.
"We need a plan. A failsafe plan. A fool-proof plan."
Monstrous saw his change and let out that nervous chuckle of his, launching off Delusions nose and onto Ickys shoulder. The cats black sclera, pupilless, light green eyes shifted to him. They were filled with nothing but scorn, but Monstrous was too busy being excited to notice.
"What do you want, you stupid little appetizer?"
"I have an idea! It's good one, Icky!"
Icky doubted that with every fiber of her being, but leaned her head down to listen anyway.
"What are you planning, Monster," Delusion whispered, tilting her ears forward to hear better.
Icky's face broke as her light green Jack-o'-lantern grin grew bigger. She turned the shadow degu, who had her same grin but in dark blue. Their similar eyes swapped hatred for enemy number one.

E walked through the castle, being new to this whole thing about being away from Exotic Acres. He held a bag of apples in his paw and looked around for his "siblings". He opened the door to the study, surprised to see note jars still out. He picked them up, examining them.
"These are, uh, notes. I ain't neva' seen them out before. Wonder where them blokes got off to..."
E's attention was attracted to the window, where he saw three different things.
His "siblings" and some weird shadows being sucked through a magic portal.
The sky turning dark ever so slightly as they disappeared.
And two, new, pet-sized pieces of paper falling from the sky. Reaching out, he caught the papers, intrigued by the why the pets on the papers, a rabbit and a pet-sized mouse, were living sketches. They moved and shifted, waving at him. E waved back awkwardly before setting them aside, not caring enough to look at their names. The black dingo climbed into the window, staring down at the ground below. He nodding before jumping, putting his fists together. He pulled them apart at an angle and chucked the new pink boomerang into the ground. It created a portal and he plummeted through it, catching the boomerang.
Currently traveling across the United States. Still up for any conversations though.
