No! Please don't actually send Satau back!
Also, why is Karishad at Tarot's place with mana at this exact time?

I'm pretty sure Karishad has a sixth sense that allows him to know everything that's going on in the entire universe! Either that or Rick Griffin is leaking him information about upcoming strips!
I thought about changing my signature but decided against it, it's too much work!

Just got through watching "Muppet Treasure Island". That made the title extra funny.
I guess Karishad was the only person Keene would trust with a celestial object of great power . . . Wait!

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Is that Keene's mana piece? xD
Also, that means Satau will go back now? I will miss him if that's the case ><

Re: 2015/08/17 - How Does He Do That
Provided Keene won't a) skin Karishad for this particular antic and b) skin Tarot and Sabrina for even considering using the last divine mana available to realize his equality dreams, the irony is that they'll owe Satau's goback to Pete of all creatures.

He lives there, at least sometimes.WishIWasHearEarlier wrote:Also, why is Karishad at Tarot's place with mana at this exact time?
Also, he's everywhere so knows when to arrive.
Mortal Magic isn't worth the name
as the power pair ponder their move.
Without Dragon, they're out of their groove
and can't get to the start of the game.
Tarots' fancy upgrade has downgraded
and Sabrina's stuck doing nothing
other than asking if lunch needs stuffing
and if their abilities are jaded.
They forgot the rules of the cosmic planners
often include a slightly mad Fox;
he's great for thinking out of the astral box
and, for once, Kari's got some Manas...

Is Karishad Kitsune's little helper? Because that is a little bit of a coincidence.

Did anyone else get the Doctor Who reference? Series 6. Episode title "let's kill hitter". With River Song and the android? Anyone. Oh well.
Anyway Karishad is amazing and I agree with Kyuunado, Kitsune must have something to do with Kitsune.

How does he do that? Maybe he's born with it. Maybe it's Karishad and we really shouldn't be questioning these things.

The funny thing is, you don't need to kill Hitler. What you need to do is to alter the Treaty of Versailles so that Germany isn't basically bankrupted. No bankruptcy, no discontent, no discontent, no rise of the Nazi party.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:killing hitler is a common trope in time travel stories. that was just one of many.Number9Dysonsphere wrote:Did anyone else get the Doctor Who reference? And then there is the temporal paradox, what if by preventing an event from happening (Stopping WWII) would cause two people to never meet, so they never had a child, who would grow up to have a child of there own (you). It's good to know that Tarots CrystalTab9000 is working well and that the space internet is populated by the same people as ours.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:that doesn't solve the other possible consequences of preventing WWII as we know it.
It's great that the mana has finally come back ino the story, I always wondered what happened to it, well now we know.
Kitch the answer is "because Karishad". And that is all we will ever know.

Not the least of which being the possibility that without WWII to diminish Russia's military in the east, and accelerate the development of nuclear technology in the west, Stalin could easily have started his own world war.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:that doesn't solve the other possible consequences of preventing WWII as we know it.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

And besides, if you do kill Hitler than the Civil Rights era doesn't happen because nobody has Hitler to compare people to, and then President Muffley starts World War III in 1968, and you end up having to go back and un-kill him.Indagare wrote:The funny thing is, you don't need to kill Hitler. Time paradox's are the worlds most complicated form of speech, as it is almost always infinite.
Smile and the whole world smiles with you, and silently labels you an idiot.
Re: 2015/08/17 - How Does He Do That
Speaking of which...
How are they going to send him back without causing a time paradox? Dragon didn't learn how the game ended in the original timeline, because if she had she would probably have done things differently - subjective time or not. Therefore if they send him back they will change the past. All of Dragon's and Pete's actions in Babylon Gardens would be different. There probably wouldn't be a mana egg to use to send him back...

Well, this could be the alternate timeline, and Dragon still lost despite all the inside information.

Anyway, I think the bottom line here is that this is how Rick is going to tie off the "mana egg" loose end, just leaving the "mysterious temple", the "escaped gargoyles", "cast light", "angel dogs", and probably other ones I've forgotten.

Karishad lives in the plain coincidence. He arrives precisely when he means to and always at the most appropriate (and sometimes inappropriate) times.Kyuunado wrote:Is Karishad Kitsune's little helper? Because that is a little bit of a coincidence.

That would violate Gibbs' Rules:Kyuunado wrote:Is Karishad Kitsune's little helper? Because that is a little bit of a coincidence.
Karishad is the personification -- or vulpinification -- of Chaos. He is the Deus ex Machina necessary to move the story along and bring it to a successful (and satisfying!) conclusion. In short, he is Karishad, and his true nature is unknown and unknowable.Leroy Jethro Gibbs wrote:Rule 39: There is no such thing as coincidence.

Re: 2015/08/17 - How Does He Do That
Have a good work finding a solution for a oneway time travel for Satau, you two psychic pets. Oh wow, this astral web isn't that different than how normal web acts and works. Mortal-side magic is made by the sleight of hand, right? So, the mana is the key for a better solution... Did you say mana? Karishad is the reply! Yeah, that should be Keene's one given by Pete time ago.... Did he steal it? I hope he's going to be an useful fox.
