um, that is hard to explain, especially to those who haven't already completely reverse engineered programming as a whole.

google will give you "a technique of loading a program into a computer by means of a few initial instructions that enable the introduction of the rest of the program from an input device."

this is technically right. But, it is normally only found within the O/S itself, not other programs, especially not in this day and age.

Yes, the bootstrap is the first thing the computer runs in order to load all of the data and programs it needs to start up the OS and everything in the computer you actually care about :D

It's allot more than just that guys, they've changed allot in the past few decades...you no longer need to reload one or add it every time you activate or build a new program. That's been changed since code has evolved, I mean when was the last time you saw someone wright a program in Lua, or Fortran? Actually now most programs just use the operating system for that.
Naw, it's all gone over to other stuff now like C++, C, Java, and whatever else you can come up with. ^~^

Well, I was referring specifically to "bootstrapping" in the sense of booting the computer. I've never seen the term used to refer to the loading of an individual program, myself.

And actually I've seen a few applications in Lua coming up recently. It seems to enjoy small but relatively stable popularity. Fortran is a niche language mostly used in scientific computing applications, so yeah, haven't actually run into anything here.

point being even those now don't use a bootstrap anymore, that is what people normally did way, waay back probably until mainframes were just starting to disappear as the computing majority in the seventies.

Pretty sure my professors referred to the initial stage of boot as the "boot loader aka bootstrap" within the last 5 years

Your arguments here aren't mutually exclusive.

Since most programs use the OS instead of a bootstrap, what does the OS use when booting up? it's still a program that starts up before everytthing else, so it has to start up somehow.
Obbl wrote:Pretty sure my professors referred to the initial stage of boot as the "boot loader aka bootstrap" within the last 5 years
It probably uses a bootstrap when booting, as Obbl is saying.

Unless I'm just unclear on what you're saying.

I'm seeking for support in a gameloft game.

When I wanted to register in Gameloft's forum, this question appeared to me:

Any idea? I'm not a philosopher.

I guess that's incerase.

Edit: I missed and another question popped up. I missed again  Then another question... And correct! :D

Welp. Sony buys Soundcloud and immediately my label gets a general message ban for nonexistent "spam and abuse of the messaging systems".

See why I don't like the major services, also sorry for your loss Kitsune but they've probably deleted some of your data too.

You may be able to get some of it back though, if your account still exists at all.

It's not my account. It's my label's. Also, It's just a general message block, not a full account ban.

Sometimes you can't really talk to those companies, or they'll just ignore you. Or do you mean the refs? I am still being locked out of two old Google accounts that I need back after three months of being locked out, when I went to the help blog for Google, the guy practically told me 'try, try again' which doesn't help considering he told me everything I already knew about getting back in!

Google also uses too many bots. Almost no humans.

Example: the appeal system on Google Play developers is broken. They will reject always your appeal even if you didn't appeal.

I tried. Soundcloud's support system is run by a third party site and message blocks are hard coded. The block ran out, but now my label's channel has negative attention it doesn't deserve. Could have ended much worse, though.

So I thought I'd mention that I won my anime club's "King of Games" tournament on Saturday.
technically My brother and I won as a team. and we were eliminated through pictionary and got back in with a 3-legged race (where we lapped everyone like twice).

I got to play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes for the semi-final round. It was fun, but I blew up lie 3 times before defusing a bomb.
The final was a fun game of Spades where no one actually knew how to play. and then the winners played the prisoner's dilemma. we both cooperated, figuring if the other betrayed they'd still give $25 of their $75 prize to the other. but we both ended up with $25. good enough for me.

oh, I also ate a dried Carolina Reaper and immediately regretted it. So that was an overall fun convention weekend for me.

It's just a tournament one of our older members runs every year. This is the first year I've won.

also with that carolina reaper, I forgot to mention I let people pay for me to add 6 drops of hot sauce and wait 10 extra minutes for milk. So I was in great pain. but it was for charity :3

there is a much bigger difference between a dried ghost pepper and a dried reaper than you might think.
I was fine with the ghost pepper except for the flavor. It only took like a minute or two for my body to tell me the reaper was a mistake.

Last year I did it cause a friend and I saw Hot Pepper Gaming at MAGfest and I thought "hey, I wanna see how much heat I can handle" then I jokingly suggested it to him as a panel. then we bought everything we needed and a new tradition was born.

Just refresh the browser, that should remove most of your problems, and if that does not work troubleshoot it in safe mode. Still not working? Then it is likely a plugin gone wrong.

Refresh? That is what I tried a lot of times, but that doesn't fix the problem. The problem is also in all of the strips.
Plugins? I'm using Opera Mini on Android, and that browser doesn't support plugins.
Safe mode? I can't even access the browser in safe mode.

I have the other browsers disabled with data connection.

I think that even Trinket's lockpicking skills aren't enough to free them from the mess
