Title Text: "no, this economy is too good to start thinking of austerity" do you see how that sounds
Wasn't it a nicer time when all that mattered was whether or not there was money, and not how well everything else was doing?

Another Temple Crashers arc. This should be interesting.

It varies between states. The range is from I think around $6-$10. However, in estates, these numbers are given many more zeros
Re: 2017/05/01 - Economy Size Economy
Why is it always Keene causing problems? We never see Lana, Duke, or Simon getting into situations. And we haven't seen Pit or Rock do anything for some time as well.

This seems too real. Painfully real. Is "too real" a sin for a slice-of-life/supernatural furry webcomic?

D-Rock, yer've slipped your link, my friend.
Something's going on at the estate,
a human taking over; tempting fate.
Holding Keene responsible for his fun;
Steward's decided his race is run.
Keene spent millions from the billions
trying to look like heroes more than villains.
It didn't work and no-one else saw
any difference in him from before.
Maybe now, when he's forced without,
his cries of change will gain some clout?
He has to learn and it starts today.
All that money just gets in the way...

Poor Rock doesn't even try to get into trouble. He just wants to be a big time director and make a bunch of cool shows. He's just overambitious.Iceheart wrote:Why is it always Keene causing problems? You see that shiny thing there? It's mine. Don't touch it!
Re: 2017/05/01 - Economy Size Economy
Whilst everyone is wondering aloud how much dosh Keene is getting, I'm wondering what he's doing with it; is he funneling it into something secretive that his sojourn in heaven inspired him to do, or was that whole arc just a big-lipped alligator moment and he's just gone back to his old ways?
Also good to see Gus Fring back in the comic (I know it's Mr Steward, he's just reminded me of Gus ever since I first came across him when I started reading the comic)

Re: 2017/05/01 - Economy Size Economy
Hmm... So it seems that Keene's been getting into trouble with his crazy spending. Still, I wonder if Mr Steward could still be trusted? I mean, a past arc implies that he can't, not to mention he's State.
However, I'm getting a little worried. Keene has been pulling Millions of Dollar's worth of money? Why? What for? And 'Operating Funds'? What Operations has the Milton Estate been doing that requires such funds? The only ones that come close have been purely civilian, such as TV, Theme Parks, Housings and Fairs as well as Research that last I checked, Karishad has likely ruined thanks to stealing the Mana Core. All those have been purely civilian and have provided a lot of money in return aside from the last one, if they couldn't get any useful information out of it.
What is Mr Steward up to? Matter of Fact, aside from Keene and his siblings pulling their usual stunts, which would cost a few thousands worth at least, what has Keene been doing to require so much money?

Private jets flying rulers of small African nations around, and all the other stuff that his lobbying for animal rights involves.John-056 wrote:Matter of Fact, aside from Keene and his siblings pulling their usual stunts, which would cost a few thousands worth at least, what has Keene been doing to require so much money?
Also, we never got a straight answer about his "agreement" with Steward...
Also, panel 1 of the second strip implies that Keene has the ability to dismiss Steward.

I don't actually expect another Temple Crashers arc, but if so, and Peanut's there, I hope he's useful... And that Grape's tagging along. Not A Furry wrote:Yey new temple crashers! dibs on peanut being the bard this time

Re: 2017/05/01 - Economy Size Economy
Good to see a new story arc about the temple after so many years, there's more to see concerning Keene's mana, indeed. Keene, do you realize that Steward is already working for you (and your sake)? He must save the earnings of your assets to keep them up and in economical health, instead to give you and your siblings millions to waste. That economy is too good? You say that's you salary? It's still crisis time with uncertain future, you now need to be in a bit of austerity.
PS: would be good have people like Steward in the Italian public companies.

Well, considering Dimension Prime functions mostly like our own only with non-dominant anthropomorphic animals in replacement of normal animals, it would be the same. It can also be assumed pets or animals have considerably less or no pay at all in whatever line of work they are in depending on where they are.RacingCheetahz wrote:I meant in HPU.CHAOKOCartoons wrote:It varies between states. Based on the estimate of their possible location made by a few people in the forums, it's safe to say their minimum wage is somewhere around $7.25 or $9.00 at max.
Considering pets in Babylon are still treated soley as pets, and like being treated as pets for the most part, animals probably don't receive any pay in Babylon, but all of this is just theoretical speak that is completely irrelevant to the story
