Compared to http://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/2017/01/04/really/ I would say it changed. Also I realized that Rick barely even showed the kangaroos feet at all.

Is Jata actually the only animal wearing pants? Or did I forgot someone?

Yeah, he's a scruffy little doofus, but it sorta fits the swashbuckling image he'd like to project. Part of that Maxwellian charm we've come to love...

I found a similarity between King and Bailey and the chess pieces King and Queen. Rick probably choosed the name King because corgis have short legs and can't run fast(or the other way around), just as the king in chess can go usually just one field. Bailey on the other hand is the Queen. I realized that, when she suggested to run to Alaska, after she took King's place in U&U. The Queen, as you know, can go infinitely far in a chess game.

.....and one of the puppies is named "Rook" which is a common term for the chess piece, the Castle.

I knew it the same, and had actually predicted the name and got the reference before it was made :P

I was re-readin the "Flip That Den" arc, and I didn't noticed what was happening in the background in this strip. I found it hilarious!

I still believe someone told Grape about Peanut having a crush on her. because in this strip, it almost sound like that she doesn't know.

1) she could have figured it out on her own between then and Imaginate, Too

2) she definitely already knew in that strip (second panel)

In the comic Springs Eternal from December 8, 2010 Peanut is holding the Nintendo stylus in his left hand, even though he is right handed. (I cannot figure out how to upload pictures, so here's the link https://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/20 ... s-eternal/)

I'm not sure if this really counts, and I hope my math is correct here but...

I looked back through all of the arcs Housepets has gone through and not counting any second or third or etc parts of arcs, Temple Crashers 2 is the 100th arc.

I just found that kinda cool. Even though I liked "The 4 Animals You Meet In Heaven", this arc seems way more like an epic 100th arc adventure. Maybe this arc was super long on purpose-

Not sure if this technically counts, but in the comic "Poetry In The Raw" http://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/201 ... n-the-raw/ I still don't get the joke behind Mrs. Sandwich's name.... I've read that arc 5 times

It's a reference to the original Resident Evil game on Playstation.

Cory is "short for" Cilantro because cilantro is commonly called coriander in other English speaking parts of the world
I only realize this now because I now regularly hang out with people from the UK, Australia, etc.

You see that blonde haired woman with the camera and the guy next to her. Who are they? They are on King's side of the aisle so could they be King/Joel's parents? I know Joel's mom is dead when he goes to heaven so I'm thinking Rick placed them their as a inside joke that only he would know. It's weird that they are on the third row and by themselves. They aren't with the press so they have to be personal to him.

It's just fun to think about if they were there for that one scene as a really bad joke.

Wait king was a pup in year three?!?!
I think Fido just meant King was on the younger side. I've seen it mentioned that King got de-aged a little when he was transformed but I'm not sure if that's official or not.
I've read these so many times trying to determine King's age. All I know is that the animals in this world age differently. They have roughly same lifespans as humans so King would not have de-aged or changed age at all. He would still be in his twenties when he was changed into a dog. Remember Pete said that age is a factor for the power of the "dark paladin" so why would he change King's age when it was the age which was one of the reasons he chose a human in the first place?
I suspect that the comment was just because he is small and short compared to the other dogs. Remember that King is the smallest dog in the neighborhood other that that chilwahawa so it is natural for them to think of him as younger even though he is older than all of them.
There has never been an official statement of how old King or Joel is or was at any time. Any character for that matter.

Remember you have to think about this from the author's POV. As an writer I can honestly say I think Rick wrote that as a simple comment portraying Fido as someone who sees King as a younger dog due to his size but not his actual age. Rick did not mean for people to read into it as saying King was regressed or de-aged. Especially considering how early in the comics this actually took place.

I never noticed that they are mirror images of each other despite how many times I reread it. The worse part is the titles clearly say that was the intention.

*Five hours later* Okay so I read the alt-text and it said "What is it with you heavenly beings and your apparent obsession with obscure video game references." OHHHH....

...The guy who might be representing Joel/King's Dad is wearing a blue shirt, that's suspiciously similar in color to Pete's coat. Zach is in the same aisle as the two, and, while looking uncomfortable, can't seem to look away. Lets note that Zach was an Unwilling Prophet of Pete's, and that the entire 'Zach' word family's etymology boils down to 'Memory of God', and, Joel himself has 'Zecheriah' as his middle name.

While Pete verbally told King he didn't consider this wedding to be real, it was as if he left a silent reminder that he considered the wedding a farce. From Joel's 'Father's face, we can get the picture that Pete barely sees this wedding, and yet has already seen enough, has spoken his piece, yet smells something fishy, and is pointing a judgmental finger.

...That implies something disturbing about Pete's actual relationship to King, and possibly about Pete's ascension.

Not sure what and all I can add to that, but Zach is looking at Snow's pups in the front row. It's really subtle, but if you look closely, he's looking in their direction, while the pups are pointing at him. My guess is that they still haven't learned that "that one isn't lunch."

pretty sure "the guy who might represent King's dad" is Jerry Arbelt which explains why he's in the same row as Zach. and maybe the woman is his plus one? maybe she's a vet like the love interest for Jon Arbuckle in Garfield, who Jerry is based on. if that's the case she may also be King's vet.

The problem with that is Jerry Arbelt is not in the tags. As for foreshadowing, Mungo wasn't in the tags until after the strip where he became a named character. Same goes for Bailey and Terrance's respective first appearances.
