Finally he can confide in someone;
his thoughts, his feelings and fears.
Finally he can talk to someone
who’ll scritch him behind the ears.
Of course this will pull his skin back
hauled in a pattern resembling furrows.
Of course this means there’s a danger
in telling his friend all his sorrows.
But still he has someone now,
someone who will believe his tale.
But still Fox can talk to Mungo
who’ll have his side without fail.
his thoughts, his feelings and fears.

I don't know why I find this so funny! It's either Fox's face or the fact that Mungo is trying so hard!

I've found that trying too hard rarely yields results. Sometimes just being there to listen is help enough.

Pets petting other pets! What has the world come to!?
But seriously, as someone (who I can't be bothered to look up) once said: "better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all". And Fox has the bonus that his love isn't completely lost; they'll be back again "real soon".

Question being, what does "real soon" mean to an immortal being?Champion Wallace wrote:. And Fox has the bonus that his love isn't completely lost; they'll be back again "real soon".
Like the old joke:
The man said to God, "What's a million years to you?" and God answered back "It is a second." The man said to God "What's a million dollars to you?" and God answered back "It is but a penny." The man said to God "Will you give me a penny?" and God answered back. "Yes I will, in a second."

About her meaning of "real soon", probably just an incarnation or an interstellar battle against the cosmic deities (again).TeflonCougar wrote:Question being, what does "real soon" mean to an immortal being?Champion Wallace wrote:. These two are so cute together X3 Maybe Mungo could set you up with someone, or if all else fails and you get no luck with the girls, perhaps you could reconsider your orientation, Fox~
That last panel looks like it must hurt >.< Though it's a warm and very cute welcome to see some more "real life pet stuff" (like whenever they do actions that happens to pets/animals irl and not just human traits)

I'm probably late for just noticing this now but where did the pink and green buttons on Fox's bandanna go?

I suppose so.
Also Mungo you broke a door open by pinching it. Grabbing someone's head is not the best idea.

Re: 2018/05/18 - All Better
Aww, poor buff Fox, but hold on, your solitude won't last for long time. Eheheh, Mungo is really cute! He's always trying to help, maybe in the wrong way, but he does what he can. It's good that he can offer both ways of pet therapy. But, yeah, now it's enough. Mungo, stop petting him! Fox isn't looking good with such widely open eyes...

I agree! Although his methodologies are often wacky and intense, Mungo never cease to lighten up the situation. Well, mostly for us. Fox's eyelids are pulled back at a very unnatural angleSoerix wrote:I love Mungo.

I must disagree; I love a good scalp massage. In fact, it's one of the very few types of massages I don't dislike.NHWestoN wrote:"The tranquilizing impact of a scalp massage is vastly over-rated." (Dr. H. Lecter).

Re: 2018/05/18 - All Better
I also love the fact that Mungo has kept in touch with Fox after the Sasha case ^^
But thinking about it, one unsettled thing bothers me: Fox's relationship with Fido.
I know Fox apologized to Sabrina and said he does not hate them, but it would come full circle if Fido was Fox's new K-9 partner announced by Ralph.
That way, the two childhood friends could both mutually apologize to each other: Fido for not telling Fox about his relationship with Sabrina (even though Fox told King he doesn't really blame Fido for it) and Fox for keeping away from him.
I mean, it's been 5 years! Just brohug again already! :')

This still bugs me. After 7000 years, pretty much every dog is Satau's descendant.jonas wrote:I wonder if Rick's ever gonna tackle the question of how Mungo got his superhero-like strength. x)

Re: 2018/05/18 - All Better
math. assuming no overlap and assuming an average of two offspring per family, within 32 generations, his descendants out number the total population of the planet. faster if the average offspring of his descendants are more than two.
if we assume an average generational gap of 25 years, thats 280 generations. even with overlapping family trees to the point of some branches being heavily inbred thats still enough time for his genes to reach every member of the species, and that's deliberately low balling the numbers.
unless his entire family line have been practicing selective breeding for a LONG time, his genes are out there.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: 2018/05/18 - All Better
Gene pools widen over time, and 7000 years is plenty for it to widen its reach. Only thing I can think of that would negate this would be death of the individual who carried these genes before passing them on, i.e. having children, or it stayed in the Old World area and never transferred to New World dogs. The latter seems pretty unlikely.

thats still an entire continent's population. more than enough that mungo's strength shouldn't be the anomaly it is unless it's more than just genetics.
