Re: 2018/07/06 - The Hills Have Eyes
Okay this is weird but all night I kept thinking we were getting s cougar in this story and here it is. At least it’s not male like I assumed or I would be freaking out. Male cougar getting chummy with a wolf that does not want to be in the woods is my story. I just finished it the other night.
Also “ambiguously“ descended. Is that what we’re calling this thing with Mungo and now Gale.
And look at Miles being a responsible Alpha and telling Poncho what he can and can't do.
I also wonder who else is tagging along on this little excursion?
This trip might be more like King's childhood after all. We got the wild animal. Now we need random weather and for him to cut his leg open and it will be just like the good ol' days.

Oh, it's Poncho! I thought it was Rockstar.
I stick by what I say in the poem.
Sometimes entry lines are truly purrfect
and sometimes they’ll cost you your life.
Wondering which is the magical trick;
will they bring you love or vicious strife?
An entry of bones is an ominous way
to state your intent out there in the wild.
Especially when, of all the campers,
there’s only two can’t be called a child.
The trip outdoors got more intriguing
as the wild cat watches them all work.
Will this cat be a vital new ally
or is it going to be kinda a jerk?

I don't see this as a ship, so much as fact that is waiting to happen.
Poncho has a girlfriend! Poncho has a girlfriend!
Either that or running Tarot out of a job, just for the laughs.

Also might I add that I'm loving the Savestate cameo. What's Harvey doing hanging out with Gale?

Wow, nice callback. So that's why Poncho wanted a job at the zoo!
Re: 2018/07/06 - The Hills Have Eyes
Turns out, the saber-toothed cat and the modern cats (both Panthera and Felis) split tens of millions of million years ago. There's no modern descendants of anything more closely related to Smilodon than that.

Isn't there an old joke about camping and mountain lions? Speaking of which, does anyone know the range of mountain lions and how that affects the map?

Their range is/was from Canada to South America. Even though, as indicated by Bandit1990 they are no longer common in the east, there has been print sightings near me in Southwestern Ontario. So, that critter ain't telling no tales about location. In fact there are few creatures out there that could be less telling.Frank wrote:Hmm. A wolf zookeeper would definitely be interesting

Okay if not Alpha how about Pack Leader, or chief, commander, director, head, manager, officer, ruler, President, boss, captain, chieftain, conductor, controller, counsellor, dean, dignitary, eminence, exec, forerunner, general, governor, guide, harbinger, herald, lead, pacesetter, pilot, pioneer, principal, rector, ringleader, shepherd, skipper, superintendent, superior, or even as Jack called him Den Mother.Champion Wallace wrote:Title Text: ugh yet ANOTHER character that may ambiguously be a descendant of one we saw from seven thousand years ago

That’s so sad. I have newfound love and respect for cougars after reading this book series I bought last week.
Re: 2018/07/06 - The Hills Have Eyes
We seem to be setting up for a motif on generational conflict here. Wonder if Lucretia, Natalie, Snow, or any of the pack ladies are along for the forrestrial festivities?

I’d love to see the cougar ending up joining the wolves and falling in love with human stuff. It’d be hilarious if she (I’m hoping it’s a she) falls in love with girly things and becomes a real cutie.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
Re: 2018/07/06 - The Hills Have Eyes
Has anyone considered that maybe Miles just got Poncho to do it even though he didn’t want to? Like a normal person? He wouldn’t need to be some kind of authority.

When the things are so, it's good that Poncho is there, too. Come on, be an exhibition of a zoo damages your dignity, Poncho. Especially for a proud animal like a wolf. Eh, I see, all you want is a mate, and looks like you're trying at that since long time. Oh, ahah! Actually, that one is a cute big huntress cat, she would be perfect paired with a wolf.
