That thing makes great fish paste, too!

Examining items in the kitchen
in a strip by noble Arvetis;
either Keene is really clueless
or he’s being quite a tease.
He’s seen these things at home;
Did Lana use them, once or twice?
He really should be clued in;
they really should seek out advice.
The angel sent to keep him ‘safe’
needs to get back up to date,
or a quick return to Heaven
could be their unfortunate fate...

Now I'm imagining Keene's vocabulary had the prefix "butler" for half the appliances in the house. Who needs a kitchen when you could eat pizza or Canine Cibble every day instead.
The cape comes with the promotion.

This means I get 1/365th credit for Rick's next Ursa Major award, right?

I love the art and the dialogue, but the alt-text just plain took me off-guard! XD
Nice one!

20th century fox? Given that this is the year 2020, that fox must be dead by now. Sadface! : (

Thank you! The alt text is totally calling me out XD I did consider drawing it more to-scale for pets, but I couldn't really figure out how to make it read as "kitchen" that way. I'm still a neophyte artist!Silly Zealot wrote:I love the art and the dialogue, but the alt-text just plain took me off-guard! XD

Also, I drew Keene's collar even though he hasn't been wearing it the last few strips - did I miss a reason he doesn't wear it anymore?

Do you not get to write your own alt text? I'm curious if it's really 1:3 scale or if that was a throwaway number. However, I don't have the will right now to measure proportions across multiple reference strips. As for his collar, I don't know what the reason behind why Keene's been naked lately is, but you do have the fallback excuse that your strip could take place right after they moved into their own place when Keene was seen wearing his collar.Arvetis wrote:Thank you! Nope! Alt text was not mine.
I'm not really complaining - it's funny text.

Oh, what a pity!
I do remember, however, that in a previous guest-week we were told you are able to e-mail a proposed alt-text for your strip, and if Rick finds it acceptable, he will add it to the comic....
.....or, you know, my brain is starting to create false memories now.

Maybe! I didn't send any.
Re: 2018/11/12 - No Butler, No Problem
Of course it's a fish tank! See, the fish go in at the top here and, if they're lazy and moving too slow, you hit this button right here and they really take off. Sometimes you get vibration colors, too.....

Breel's head almost hits the ceiling. Wonder if pets will ever get houses that big? =P
Pretty cool guest comic.

Eheh, very nice strip. Breel has a lot to learn about modern stuff, indeed. Uhm, that can be a proper name for a microwave oven, but only when you had a butler who did all the work for you, Keene. A fish tank? You wouldn't put a poor fish in it, trust me.
Very good work, Arvetis!

Anybody up for some fish smoothies? I'm pretty sure some cats would be.

I imagine if Breel and Keane tried it, that Breel might like it. LOL
