Is your brother also on the forum or does he just read the comic?

Maybe you should tell him. The more the merrier.
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Exactly!!
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
It was from a list of furry webocomics on the Fur Affinity forums, IIRC.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I first heard it mentioned in memes on r/furry_irl. After reading some comments praising the series, I checked it out and have been hooked since.

I'm so devoted to the series I managed to claw my way back into the forum.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I first heard of Housepets! on a now defunct anti-PeTA site, the first strip I saw was where Jeff attacks Joel, from there I read up on it, and became a fan, I actually had Grape as my avatar on that site for a while.

They probably hate it, if they know it exists.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I was looking for mega man sprite comics in 2012 and i found it on the top webcomics list. Just meant to have a quick look out of curiosity but ended up reading the entire archive several times over 3 days.

You read ALL of the strips in 3 days? I envy you and your commitment to getting caught up to the present so you could get all of the info you needed on the comic.
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
just the one day. then i read it twice more. Thus, three days! I could read pretty fast but i didnt have social skills which i suppose is one of those tradeoffs you end up making in life

Wow you sir are definitely dedicated to the comic and I am in awe of you going through the whole comic THREE times!
I don't have the best social skills either and it still took me 2 months to catch up to the (then) current strip.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
That is remarkable It took me several days to get through it all, and for a while all I could see, think, and breathe was Housepets. At the time it felt like if I were any more dedicated I woulda fried my brain with the amount of content to process. To each their own, I guess~

...How is it even POSSIBLE to get through EVERYTHING in several days? As I said, it took me 2 months to get caught up. Just days or weeks to start from the beginning to catch up to the present just seems unfathomable.
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I imagine it be possible as long as you figure out quickly most of the Spot (superdog) and imaginate arcs are always filler, though takes a lot of commitment and lack of blinking to doAmazee Dayzee wrote:...How is it even POSSIBLE to get through EVERYTHING in several days? I mean, if you don't read everything, it doesn't count as reading everything. :bGameb18oy wrote:I imagine it be possible as long as you figure out quickly most of the Spot (superdog) and imaginate arcs are always filler, though takes a lot of commitment and lack of blinking to doAmazee Dayzee wrote:...How is it even POSSIBLE to get through EVERYTHING in several days? If we're talking about biddyfox, there were far fewer strips in 2012, but even reading hundreds in a day was quite a feat.

That is what I was getting at and why I was so impressed. Even if I had started reading at that point and I didn't as I started in July of 2014, I would NEVER be able to do all of that. He must have really strong concentration. x3
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
There also was basically literally nothing else to do at the time, so I got really really into it. (also i'm a girl hehe)

Glad to know that since this forum needs more females.
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I was bored and needed something to do. I ended up looking up 'best anthro webcomics,' and well, I found this, and binged it in about two days (and I found it a year ago, so there were a lot of strips to read). Having too much free time is good for a few things, I guess!

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
So you read EVERY SINGLE STRIP including the one-offs and the guest strips in two days? No breaks? If that is true, it is making me jealous as it still took me two weeks to get caught up in 2014.
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Yeah, actually... it was a weekend and I didn't have anything to do, so...
Yeah, the entire archives, guest strips and all!

Hooray for the "Archives" - that led to ordering the books (I've given Book One as a gift to several colleagues).

Just curious though how long did it take you to read everything and get all caught up?
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Well, one of them is definitely hooked. Her husband runs a comic store so I'd like to think he's selling them. Two others started reading them after their kids got ahold of them. (One of those got hooked on the Bones series from his eleven-year old son so I wasn't surprised.) Others, well, they're probably being polite. Haven't given any away since I moved. Maybe this Christmas. Better'n fruitcake, right?fenrirblack wrote:How did they react to that?NHWestoN wrote:Hooray for the "Archives" - that led to ordering the books (I've given Book One as a gift to several colleagues).

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Is it actually possible for a comic store to sell the books themselves if they don't have Rick's permission?
Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I suppose if they were to buy a bunch and then re-sell, then yeah.

Wouldn't that be like breaking some law about reselling stuff that you already bought from someone else? I will admit I'm not too much in the know when it comes to business laws.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Under the First Sale Doctrine, buying and reselling the books would be allowed under US copyright law. You just can't produce your own copies of them.
The store would have to add a significant markup to make it cost effective though.

How much would the markup have to be?
