Title Text: just to be safe I went back and ensured that nobody ever had the name, "Actually". This is why it's now improper to rebut anyone with "Well, Actually,"
Dang it, Spot, manipulating the space-time continuum leaves a mess that the janitors hate cleaning.

Ooh, honesty. how refreshing.
So is the “actually” supposed to be a cue that Larry is actually Lars?
Next time? Do we need a next time? I mean three is the pattern but it’s Friday. New week, new Chapter.

Fourth panel, he has three arms. Huehue!
Good thing I always rebut with "Well, actually" with the "a" in lower case. Joke's on you, floating text!D-Rock wrote:Title Text: just to be safe I went back and ensured that nobody ever had the name, "Actually". This is why it's now improper to rebut anyone with "Well, Actually,"[/color]

Is one of the side effects of all that time travel the fact that Spot now has three arms?!? o_O Or did a future him time travel back to the past just to touch his own nose/wipe his tears from laughing so much?
Either way, I laughed real hard at that panel.

With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.

Causality pops on the vine
as Spots’ letters now continue;
at least he’s avoiding cliché
like “the answer is within you”.
Do the letters really exist?
Does the reader for that matter?
If we found we’re a fever dream
would our reality really shatter?
He’ll continue to read them out,
every letter and missive he’s got;
until the writer works things through
and proceeds on with the main plot.

Peanut must've switched paper. The lines on this and the previous are spaced twice as much as is the norm for Spot (Superdog) comics.

I think we all learned a very important lesson here with this strip. That is don't tick off Spot or he'll make sure you don't exist. LOL

If Peanut is in fact “making” these comics then I feel like this is an extension of his writers block from before. Now we’ve reached the point where he is so distraught that he has to have Spot erase the nagging voices in his head and his own self doubt. Then accept the fact that he still has NOTHING.
Meanwhile Marion is sitting alone in a treehouse cold and scared while a Peanut is making angry comics about people who don’t exist.

Re: 2019/06/07 - Letters Got Your Number
Eheh, this fact was already evident in the previous strip. Spot (Superdog) is inventing everything... What a failed superhero, you're now over. Good he's being sincere, at last. Wow, is that a third arm? That must be a new sort of superpower...
Re: 2019/06/07 - Letters Got Your Number
"Third arm"? Makes me think of an ancient episode of The Twilight Zone about a Martian in a café scouting out earth for invasion - he had a third arm. He was in conversation with the diner manager who turned out to be a three-eyed Venusian - and hostile besides.

So is Spot an anti-hero now?
(And to avoid confusion what I mean is that Spot is now erasing innocent people from existence but not being an all out villain.)

Not sure how you can not be an all-out villain if you are erasing innocent people who just annoy you out of existence. That does seem to be like something a villain does. Anyway its not connected to the main arc so I won't give it too much thought.

Re: 2019/06/07 - Letters Got Your Number
I am so scared that because they are one-offs, Peanut’s writer/artist block alongside Craig’s suggested friendship with Olive is gonna be treated as non-canon. Those are some genius plot points I don’t want thrown out. Especially the former, as while Peanut is still funny, that block is the first time he might have character growth in a long timefenrirblack wrote:If Peanut is in fact “making” these comics then I feel like this is an extension of his writers block from before. Then you can justify ANYTHING happening in the comic by saying that it doesn't exist but if you do, then you won't enjoy it so saying that is just a copout and makes it sound like one doesn't care.

Re: 2019/06/07 - Letters Got Your Number
I could see Peanut going on an adventure of sorts to find "inspiration." It's kinda a trope but it could still work and its not like its not a real thing that people do. That's it! Peanut and Marion help each other. Peanut needs inspiration and Marion needs to be human so they work together on a wacky adventure. If Peanut was inspired by Max's story then he could totally benefit from playing the role of Rufus and being the guiding protector of this lost soul.Gameb18oy wrote:I am so scared that because they are one-offs, Peanut’s writer/artist block alongside Craig’s suggested friendship with Olive is gonna be treated as non-canon. Why would they be considered non-canon just because they're one-offs? They don't have as much story to them, but they're just as canon as the arcs.Gameb18oy wrote:I am so scared that because they are one-offs, Peanut’s writer/artist block alongside Craig’s suggested friendship with Olive is gonna be treated as non-canon. Re: 2019/06/07 - Letters Got Your Number
I think the Olive/Craig friendship will stick but these comics have to be non-canon since it was the alt text that said that Peanut was doing a comic that had the same title as the arc and the alt text ISN'T canon.
