Steward is looking different somehow. Can't put a paw on it.
Also, where (and what) is Trinket?

Sometimes it’s the tiny you miss
and, sometimes, it’s the freakin’ huge.
Sometimes you’re the mighty hero
and, sometimes, you’re just the old stooge.
Is the fella invisible
or are they just not looking right?
Is there any way that’s normal
to be missing out such a sight?
Does Steward see them? I think so.
Does he care? I’m not so sure.
Is he the directional sign
or is he just playing a lure?

Maybe becoming a demon is worth it for the looks.
Seriously, I love his design.

Well this was an unexpectedly terrifying turn of events.
What the heck did I just type out.
He may look good, but on the inside he's nothin' but a poop-rat.

That is one cool demon design. Pretty cool. It’s probably bad news. But soooo cool.
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
Oh. Well. That's not good.
I almost feel sorry for Trinket, I have a feeling he wasn't exactly willing to be absorbed into someone else's daemonic ascension, or I guess descension, would technically be more accurate.

His new height made me think "He's so big!"
Which led to me recalling a line from the Sonic Riders real-time Fandub.
So now I have the mental image of Demon Steward saying "I'm very tall. I am at least seven-foot-one, and I will step on each one of you like eggs." stuck in my head.

What do you get when you cram a shapeshifter, a dog-dragon, two wolves, a human, a robot, a bear, and a fox into one vessel? (They/Them pronouns)

That can't be good. There's really only one course of action now...
Put your head between your legs and kiss your human butt goodbye...alternatively you can also think of it as kissing your new tail hello.

Oh.
Oh no.
Also, neat how the wings are at the base of the spine. Same design was used for Sariel from So I'm A Spider, So What? and it's a good way to distinguish from the stereotypical angel wings.
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
Awesome!
But is it possible for Steward (and Trinket) to return normal?
Or would he rather be a demon forever?

Weren't Kitsune's orders to "call immediately when you find it and do not engage"?

You typed out the basic description of a guinea pig. I prefer 'ravenous poopmonster', but the idea is the same.Rydr Warklub wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 12:17 amHe may look good, but on the inside he's nothin' but a poop-rat.
What the heck did I just type out.
Trinkets we have heard on mid-section,
Gently caressing o'er the pets.
And the audience in reply
Echoing their 'well that's upset(ting)'s.
I get the feeling they're about to trip over St'warinket's tail, which is mildly awkward when you're in a car. Also that would probably hurt his tail something awful.
In any case, his design is neato. There's vaguely enough of Euodant to make you wonder if it's a Trinity instead of an Unholy Fusion. Either way, "oh no he's hot" applies.

O.O Steward got an upgrade O.O And yet...something tells me Steward is gonna be a push-over when it comes to fighting.
EDIT: I just noticed and it could very well be me, but Demon-Steward here looks very similar to Zodd from Berserker.

That was my first thought. Steward's wings are attached at his center of balance, low on his body, where they'd need to be to actually function. Like in John Varley's Titan series.VeryAngryDeer wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 1:05 am Also, neat how the wings are at the base of the spine. My second thought was that the perspective is way off. The viewpoint seems to be simultaneously above the building on the right and level with the hood of the car.
And yes, those look like Trinket's wings. Ick.

So the Sandwich Man is probably not a demon, but I still don't think he is beyond suspicion.
I didn't think Steward would make the immediate jump to giant demon. I thought he would have been a demonic sorcerer first.

Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
I doubt much of what's happening with the former financial Steward is up to him at this point.
Also... did he merge with Trinket to get the wings? I doubt that what she sighed up for.

We don’t have any proof at all that Trinket was forced into the unholy obscenity that is now Steward at all so let’s not get ahead of ourselves now. It could easily be a coincidence.
That is what I am going to keep on telling myself and hoping that I am at least right about THAT.

Besides, if it IS an amalgam, Trinket might be 'in charge'.
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
Demon-Steward? Eh, from the demon Eudoant, Steward and Trinket could only expect demoniac powers, indeed... They're so crazy to have got a such ending... So, I guess the demons on earth are now four: Eudoant, NegaBreel, Steward, and Trinket. It's going worse... Now I'm looking forward to see Trinket as demon. Anyway, are you really being blind, or sarcastic with Lois, Tarot? The meter works very well, since that big demon is close to you.

I'm sorry Rick didnt name this "That's A Big Twinkee" with all the previous GB references.

Monster Mash!! (Okay, right ... it's kinda early for Halloween humor....... )
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
I can see Trinket being dragged into this, she seemed to have reservations from the beginning. One thing I can imagine is demon-Steward can’t act at full efficiency due to Trinket trying to hold him back.

I would go and do the research myself but I'm a bit preoccupied hoping that Trinket wasn't forced into this as an unwilling victim.
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
I'm not sure she knew what she was getting into. She teamed up with the badger and has slowly been moving with him as things have worsened.
Though, come to think of it, Steward had no idea where this was leading, either.

Guess we'll find out if Cory comes within stomping range.
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
That has to the potential to be perhaps the darkest moment in HP history. Somehow the skunk was outside the quarantine when everyone else was taken away and finds himself downtown when the monster that is now Steward somehow become visible to everyone.Startrekfan47 wrote: ↑Tue May 18, 2021 11:02 amGuess we'll find out if Cory comes within stomping range.
However, he's not focused on the five story tall vaguely badger-like creature. His focus is only on the wings. After the initial shock wears off, his mind starts working in the problem and a tear forms in his eye. In a voice barely above a whisper, "Trinket? Trinket... no."
"Say, this is only tangentially relevant, but how many rings is your tail supposed to have?"
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
Since Badger/Stewart was formerly an accountant, could we describe this possible assimilation of Trinket as a "hostile merger"?
Re: 2021/05/17 - The Problem With Perception Filters
If this speculation is right, I think that's a likely comic title.
