That is also good in its own way if I am being honest. Because at least it means you are being passionate about something.

Of course. I didn't mean to say being passionate about something as a bad thing. It just leads to passionate arguments.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:14 pm That is also good in its own way if I am being honest. Because at least it means you are being passionate about something.

You just need to make sure that it doesn't turn from passionate to mean.

Too many topics to list. The Blue Fox wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:01 pmName at least one topic that objectively cannot be discussed politely and leaves you no choice but to argue rudely. I'm sure every topic can be discussed politely, folks just let their emotions get the better of them because they're passionate about whatever they believe.Harry Johnathan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 6:50 amI suppose in some contexts, because there are some extraordinarily serious topics in the world where there is no option BUT to be rude and angry.Welsh Halfwit wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 2:43 pm Discussing important ideas politely on a frivolous topic is better than arguing a serious idea rudely on a serious topic.

You don't have to name all of them. Just a few. Maybe go for some of the biggest offenders.

But just remember that politics would be one that is too easy so choose something else that most people wouldn't think about.

Ah...yeah, okay, that's fair, there are certain things regarding politics that I'm definitely passonate about one way or another. I won't go into detail, though. That's just asking for the conversation to devolve into something that'll get this site's mods/admins involved in a heatbeat.

That is actually good advice. We would not want to deal with making a very bad scenario for the admins would we?
