I can relate to this as well, in some ways. Good that you have a positive mindset, though.

Sorrow: My struggle with coursework seems to be that studying one thing often triggers an idea to study another. So lately, I have just been binge studying.
Joy: Even with health problems, this semester is turning out to be the best so far.

Sorrow: They just announced our new boss at work. She is a hopeless sociopath and everyone is scared. She does not officially take the position until January, but she will be around a lot.

Before you think I am being over dramatic, this is a woman who violates safety laws by purposely not keeping a first aide kit in her department because, and I quote, "it encourages people to hurt themselves."
Hopefully I can get my medication aide certification and start job hunting by the end of the year!

Mixed: Apparently, my mum's new white kitten has both heterochromia and heterotropia. A green-yellow eye that is slightly off-centered. Odd.
Sorrow: The other one is not doing so well though. They're 10 months old, yet she had yet to wean. I tried feeding milk and fish, and even tried force-feeding her, but it just doesn't work. Kinda worried...
Sorrow: My mum's gold ring got stolen, presumably by my aunt. It was the last of her gold stuffs (she can't wear gold), and almost all of them had been stolen by the same aunt at some point in time. Sad thing is, we kinda understand why she did that, having a horrible man for a husband and five children to take care of, and my mum would never press charges. Didn't help the fact that she cried over the loss, the first time for a long while...

Comfort: Told vice principal about my stolen pair of headphones today. If it doesn't get me at least SOME of the money they were worth back, it should get the kid who did it suspended (or better yet, both).
Same kid also told my friend whose dad recently died that he was happy about that. Then blamed it on tourette's (a disorder he didn't have) in that same day. At this point I have NO REMORSE left for him, and I'm genuinely surprised I ever called him my friend.

Joy : After 111 generations, the cars that are evolving finally made it over this one hump.

Backstory : Watching cars that evolve using some sort of algorithm depending on variables that I don't care to explain. Generation 125 had the top spot for a while, then 236 finally took the lead by nearly 3 meters. http://rednuht.org/genetic_cars_2/ Evolution is annoying.

What the? That woman is a nut. Does your employer have some sort of hotline? That woman could get the place fined if someone does a safety inspection. If you can't report her get out of there ASAP.

Sorrow : I'm 2 or 3 episodes past the episode in Avatar : The Last Airbender where Mako, voice of Uncle Iroh, died. It's kind of amazing how many differences in the voice I can pick out. If I listen enough, it doesn't sound the same at all, and that's just disappointing.

Actually the new voice of Iroh only had one line in the second book, in Tales of Ba Sing Se, just to test if anyone would notice the change in the third book. Mako didn't actually die until the break between the seasons and they edited in Greg Baldwin's part before airing it. You've still been listening to Mako.

Still sad, and that part always chokes me up,

Didn't know who Mako was when I saw that episode, but I saw they paid tribute to him naming Mako (the firebender with the red scarf) after him.

I just realized the differences you may be hearing could have been symptoms of what killed him. and now I'm sadder than I was.
