What are you going to link next, Günther? David Guetta?
I still love you and all but I just had to make that comment
it's like, you realise that günther and basshunter are deservedly in the same list, right?
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

I am back from my Rob Zombie concert. It was awesome. Also, Alice Cooper was there too, and was also awesome. It was pretty awesome.

Re: Music.
I think its funny that I'm in High School but most of the music I listen to is older than everything being mentioned here. I don't avoid certain music because of when it's written, but my favorites always end up being from the 70s at latest.

Re: Music.
'70s music is tried and true. The sucky music has faded into obscurity, so any '70s music we hear is the stuff that stood the test of time. Whereas we hear all modern music (in the mainstream anyway), giving the idea that music today is on average much worse, when in reality there was crap back then too. We just don't hear it anymore.

Re: Music.
This is true. I don't object to modern music on principle, like some people do, and I listen to more recent stuff sometimes, but the 50's through 70's have this bizarre vibe (sometimes to the point of total nonsense), which I think today is losing to the "Hey look at me I'm cool" feel.Sleet wrote:'70s music is tried and true. Of course, that spirit lives on with musicians on the internet, because their popularity is based on the comedy that lies in singing about nothing.

I didn't think about it because he wasn't headlining. I just kind of forgot, up until he showed up.Sleet wrote:You didn't tell me Alice Cooper was going to be there! I would have said it was awesome if you did!

Re: Music.
To be honest, I've only heard one song, so I don't really have an opinion.
I have a strange habit of wanting to see supporting acts more than the headliners. So far I've turned down two concerts only to later realize that the opening acts would have made it totally worth it, and gone to two more specifically for their opening band (though the headliners were still awesome in those cases). This one doesn't really count though, since I wasn't going to go all the way to Texas to see Alice Cooper.
