Re: CT 32: CMJH
I actually understood that...Tattorack wrote:I'll...try...... What? Can you put it in simpler terms!
In sci-fi, space ships travel at "warp speed" to travel to other worlds.
Traveling at light speed would take about 4.5 years to get at the nearest
star.
Warp speed/hyperspace is faster than light and thus doesn't take so long
to get to things that would usually take generations.
Before the concept of traveling to other worlds became all too hip, Einstein
discovered that matter is energy, and vica-verca. (E=MC2)
That means that the faster you travel, the more matter you'll have, and the "heavier"
you are.
That meant there was an ultimate limit to the speed you could achieve: Max is light speed.
More faster and you'd (supposedly) have more energy and matter than the universe
can have.
But now they found a particle that might break that rule, the rule most physics is
based on.
Now for something simpler: NINJA'D!!!
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world

Re: CT 32: CMJH
E=mc^2 is not what states that nothing can go faster than light. It's an equation that states the rest energy of an object of a certain mass and nothing more. In fact, it doesn't even take into account relativity (which is where approaching the speed of light is relevant). The corrected equation there is E = mc^2/√(1-v^2/c^2).

Sorry Seth, can't take that as truth since I'm not observing you in the same relative time frame,*Seth's head explodes*
wich means, as long as your not being observed by me your head has exploded and is not
exploded at the same time, the decision of such is determined by the moment I get to see you.

Guuuuuuys, stop mixing up unrelated advanced physical concepts! Einstein didn't even agree with Schrodinger!
I have no idea. My family kind of blew up so I'm just going to roll with it.

I like it
(fun fact, I learned about that reading spiderman comics back in 4th grade)
Going to grandmas with the family to eat too much food.
Having an early thanksgiving in Georgia, an aunt on my mom's side moved there a few years ago and we're going to suprise her for her birthday the weekend of the 18th.

Plushies make me happy. And ponies. Oddly enough, the combination thereof is unappealing to me unless it's custom. There are no official plushies I ever considered buying because they're ugly and off-model. Whereas particularly excellent custom plushies can sell for the price of a fairly nice used car.

Its a jet-black cube (or sometimes a sphere) and can turn into anything non-edibleI'm not familiar. What is that?
that you command.
It is considered to be some sort of toy of a long dead race.
Its unknown what materials it is made of, and no one managed to ever reverse engineer
it.
Only 15 have ever been found.
