I have heard of tattoos being applied to pets for identification, but it's usually a number that I hear about.

I think one reason why some of us are considering it natural is that it perfectly matches the fur color of her limbs, snout, and ears. Granted, I don't doubt that a color was selected that matched. Just remember that animals with unique fur patterns that form specific shapes do exist.

This is true, my dog had a perfect smiley face on his forehead. It was so unusual that people would ask to take pictures with him when we went on vacation XD
