I see. Steam's pretty cool, but I don't play PC games enough that I'd ever really have a use for it.

...Yaknow, Braid is on Steam. Have any of you Steamlodytes not played it? If not, why the heck is that? It's cheeeap. And glorious.

EDIT: Page monarch!

I've... watched a playthrough of it, does that count?

I have a very weird reason for not playing it and you guys would probably give me funny looks. 8D

More unhappy news. Earlier today, my father comes to my room and takes my phone. He then "upgrades" the operating system, which deletes all my contacts (and for some reason puts all of his on my phone), and then he installs some new thing to get on the internet which I have no idea how to use, continues to put off fixing my monitor which I told him about hours ago (he's an electrical engineer, this should be a simple matter), and then I find out he's bought an Ipad, a new television (a big one), and a PS3, all of this right after he quit his job, despite the fact that the *only* financial help he's supposed to offer me or my mother is to help us pay for my college.

I am extremely unhappy.

*pats Sunburst* There there...

Honestly I can't say I've ever heard anyone having a problem like that before.

I would give you funny looks no matter your reason for not playing it. So you might as well say.

Uh... well I kinda have a phobia of... backmasking, is it called? Like music and stuff being played backwards.

And that game does it. >:

I'm sorry to hear the Sunburst, if it's any consolation I'm upset about something that had happened today although I'm not comfortable discussing it here.

Iv played Braid before! But i can't finish it. And i refuse to use a walk through. I got through portal without one i can get through Braid without one too!

That's the spirit! I got through without a walkthrough, and it was so much more satisfying that way. Though people from my dorm walking by gave me some strange looks for retrying a tricky move over and over again. They just didn't understand.

I'm disappointed, however, in how difficult it is to get the "true ending" without using a guide. I'm pretty sure there isn't a human being on the planet who could have managed it by themselves.

How far did you get? I might be able to provide some insight (but not answers) that could prove helpful.

Well that's a darn shame, because it's a beautiful game. The music is so great forward! I'm sure you don't need me telling you how irrational it is to be afraid of that, since you no doubt know; phobias by definition don't listen to your reason.

Backmasking is only when you add sound clips into songs backwards, by the way. There's none of that in Braid.

Ah, not backmasking then. Though that, of course, it also horribly freaky.

Yeah, I know how ridiculous it is. But I just find it... bleh. >.<

The last time i played, i was stuck on the last puzzle piece for world 2. A game has never stumped me so much like Braid has.

Oh wow. I'm not sure what I can tell you besides to keep trying and look at everything. It's helpful to know that there is almost nothing in the game that's of no purpose. If you can interact with it, you probably will need to.

A group of people getting together and playing computer games. Traditionally this is done by setting up a local area network, but sometimes they just use internet.

There's actually a local gaming store near my friends house, they have several computers and each of the new systems. I believe its several dollars to play for an hour and you can play anything you want.

Nvmind. I got all the puzzle pieces for world 2. That last one was like, duh, thing. Now world 3, the one where time goes back and forth in the direction you run, UGHGH. Its so complicated D:

(By the way, if you finish the puzzle on world 2, you already failed to get a secret item.)

Thankfully, the item is worthless unless you're going for 100% completion, and they're all so outrageously difficult that you shouldn't even worry about them.

Anyway, on the "Jumpman" level from world 3, I'm friends with the world's 2nd and 3rd fastest speed runners of that level.
