I pretty much figured when Jeff was going crazy it was a joke.

Started a thread revival program (anyone can do it.) Starting reviving threads today, it's fun.
How many threads did you revive today

Doing that too much is frowned upon, actually. I would not make an effort to do that! If you have something meaningful to contribute to an old thread and you can't help but revive it, then sure. But don't try to revive threads.

I'm not going to go crazy reviving every thread. The reason I looked at all of the threads (And yes, I went through them all) is because most people don't go past the first page. There is a lot of interesting stuff past the first page but you got to look for it. So I took a few interesting one's and revived them, and so far they got a little attention now just because they are on the first page.

Foxstar (he) doesn't revive old threads. He may go beyond the first page of them, but he doesn't really bring back anything that most current forum members haven't seen at one point or another.

We're just saying use some common sense. How many pages back you can go will depend on the dates and on the threads themselves. There's no point posting "this is cool" on a story that hasn't been updated in three years and there's no point commenting on a poll started back in 2010 if the person has already made their decision or if the question is no longer relevant. There was also a time when forum rules were a lot more lax than they are now so there may on occasion be a topic or post from back then that would not be allowed today so obviously don't comment on those either. Also if there's a newer version of a thread then don't bother posting on the old one unless the new one is very new and clearly a duplicate in which case feel free to report it and we'll merge it into the existing thread for you.

If you have something to say that genuinely contributes to an old conversation or furthers a discussion then you're welcome to post it but make sure it's the kind of discussion that's likely to get interest again.

This is really just to prevent spamming of the forums and to enable the current and more popular threads to be more easily found and commented on.

So, all we're really saying is ask yourself "Why am I reviving this old thread and does the thread really need reviving?" If you have a good answer for those questions then feel free to revive it. Otherwise it might be best to hold off.

Of course, if you're not sure of anything then you can feel free to ask your friendly neighbourhood moderator at any time. We're here to help you guys after all.

Also, you are very welcome to read as many of the old posts as you want. There's some fascinating things out there! Just use your common sense before commenting on them.

As an example, Foxstar always posts in the Reading Discussion thread. This thread manages to languish in popularity and dip off the first page with some regularity, but it is always relevant (cause there are always books being read). He'll usually make a post about what he's currently reading, and the thread will see a new boom for a bit before slowly tapering off. It's less about reviving an old thread as bringing back to light a conversation or discussion that still has potential left, but would otherwise continue to be completely overlooked by the average forum-goer.

Another good example would be my detailed Pridelands topic. It's relevant, indeed, but only if it's worth it. Otherwise, might as well start another topic on it.

I should make a back-up of that topic incase it bites the dust. X3

I recently took the perilous journey among the dead threads of the second page, t'was frightening reading words typed years ago.

Okay, the stuff was actually interesting, if not old. I wouldn't mind having some threads if not the topics themselves revived.

Well like I said, if you've got something to contribute to the discussion and the discussion itself is still relevant then feel free to revive it or, if you think it's too old, make a new topic about it. If you're not sure then feel free to ask any staff member.

It's a little saddening to see all those old threads 'cause I see names I don't see anymore, or names I do but miss being closer with.

I've got nowhere else to put it so I'll put it here. The new header is so nice! Pink trees and all that. :3

I think the pink trees are cherry blossoms. They're very strongly associated with spring in Japanese culture.

I even read the stuff Jeff was saying and knew it couldn't be real, but his name not being dark blue was a thing that made me question it.

As for the link, I made sure to post it when it would be April 2nd for some people.

Also, I have been back about 10 pages on the forums. Some interesting stuff back there, reading things from years before I was on the forums.

I also love the new banner, it is great.

I think its just some sort of flavor. For Easter, I got two cotton candy flavored lollipops.

It has a distinct flavor which I can't exactly describe. It is like Bubble Gum flavored things.

We have some "Tutti-Fruiti" flavoured topping/syrup for ice-cream over here that contains "natural bubblegum flavour".

I know it as just 100% pure melted sugar spun around a stick, like this
