I'm really interested to see where Rick takes this
like Miles said
MilesKingford wrote:I wonder how Fox might react if he discovers King fancies his cousin:
Would he get jealous?
Would he make some great noble stand against King in "defence" of Bailey?
Or would Fox actively encourage them, pushing King into a corner in the process?
Maybe even Bailey might make the first move. She did call him "cute", after all.

The possibilities are endless.
there's alot of potential angles here.

I think Fox will probably be fine with it, but some other sort of conflict will come up. Perhaps King will have some sort of internal dialog about being into a dog, or maybe they'll do fine but King has to deal with leaving, or a bunch of other stuff could happen.

"Until you embrace whether you're a dog or you're a human, the resolution is tricky matter."

King will decide that he'll want to stay a dog during this arc :D

Or the opposite, like I said before, if she breaks his heart.
And Pete could use her as his weakness if he finds out about
this attachment... and if he escapes...

Did you guys notice that the country cats up at Peanut's uncle said "It's that cute visiting dog" and now Bailey, a country dog is saying "Who's your cute friend here"

It just struck me there as curious, my guess was it's either a colloquial of country folk or just something the writer used to infer a future relationship between them.

I think King will like it until he realizes she already has puppies...

No one think of that possibility?

Like King could do the same thing Peanut did while he was Down On The Farm to cool off.

Well, considering it's outside the country and moreso littered with natural daily nutritious source of milk, bread and turkey...

I mean, of course not. How dare you come to such a silly conclusion. The future pups of the comic will love loathe you for all eternity for that one.

Wow... quite the dialogue there. Stubby legged Husky puppies...Adorable!!!

King is doing an awful job of not letting others know he has a preoccupied mind.

I wonder where Fox went to.

Heh hes so distracted and also why doesn't he just make the choice now anyway? Right now that's clearly what he wants I don't remember anything really stopping him. I mean they can't (actually its more like they refuse to) turn him back into a human, but shouldn't he be able to make the choice now and since his soul would go back to human heaven it should make this easier. For that matter why can't heaven just over ride the transformation anyway?

clearly the puppies would be a good choice. *Bricked*

So I wonder if the watch had anything to do with the fact he can say his name now? Or is it a side effect of Pete's power? Interesting!

When I have said he has a choice, I don't mean he gets to just announce what he wants where he is at that very moment; such a thing is not so simple

Rick I like the direction you're taking this.

I know. That's not what I meant either. I didn't mean NOW.

EDIT: Are you trying to tell me he hasn't been contemplating that choice between this arc and the last AT ALL?! :|

Ok, but that doesn't explain why like say heaven can't just over ride the transformation; unless The U&U game overrides Heaven for some reason. (Which would make very little sense IMO) I mean it was even said that all this is doing is making a huge mess for Heaven. Not even counting Pete breaking in and stealing King/Joel Fate.

where? I would love to see those.
Maybe Joel/King did that with his pets when he was younger, so he doesn't mind that so much.

Here and here thus far.

I don't think King is going to go furry. If he does it's going to be a long process that constitutes his "choice". It's not simply declaring he's human or a dog but also his own actions and desires that will determine things.

Also, for some clarity, he doesn't seem to be wearing his fate anymore, does this mean it's been picked up, or is it just hidden in the hammerspace inside his collar?

The first thing I wondered with this arc was, "wheres he going to put that thing?!"

Oh, and I was totally expecting these thoughts! (and the children like that too!)

Hey, is it just me, or did anyone else notice that Bailey's fur patter is a lot like the guardians in the Not all Dogs? Probably just a coincidence.
