Freddy should be extremely ticklish, the remote control was only resting on his belly. There won't be any victory, Sheldon! Freddy, now tell him that he took the TV remove control, so he can't do nothing else with it...

That voice is unseen. It could easily belong to Simon or Catherine.

Nothing new to me, but it's always a beautiful draw. I love thanshuhai's works! It's a so fluffy Freddy, I would pet those scruff and back!

Alright ladies and gentlemen

A year ago to the day I posted this comic with a little fox named Freddy and his owner Simon

46 comic strips and a year later “Simon and Freddy” can celebrate their first anniversary!

It’s funny to look back… “Simon and Freddy” was already the third version of my webcomic.
Everything started with the idea to make a webcomic. Back then I called it “Forest Friends”. It was a story of two friends, Freddy the fox and Alex the Border Collie.
A lot of characters who appeared later in “Simon and Freddy” were already part of the cast like Beatrice the Australian flying fox and the Squirrel brothers Simon and Sheldon… Yeah, Sammys name was Simon back then
I never published the comic because I wasn’t really satisfied with the final product… So I decided to restart the comic. It was still called “Forrest Friends” but this time the protagonist was Alex. Freddy was just a side character.
The story was more about finding the right path in life and also had some dramatic and also crazy moments. Here I decided to turn Simon and Sheldon into two maniac power hungry squirrels… and this was also the birth of Simon as a human (because they built a machine who turned Simon into a human… but still evil )
And again I wasn’t satisfied with the whole thing… so I decided to take a third run… and this time with a new name: “Simon and Freddy”. Again with Freddy as protagonist and now also with a human owner: Simon. The evil squirrel turned into a good human (and so this was the birth of Sammy)
After I finished some comic strips I finally decided to publish the comic on the world wide web.
On the 25th of August 2013 I posted the very first “Simon and Freddy” comic strip here on the Housepets!-forum. After a while I decided to post the comic also on deviantArt, FurAffinity and Weasyl.

Now after a year I’d like to go back to the beginning… so here’s a remaster of the very first comic strip (I think Freddy aged well )

And now I want to thank some people. Without them, there wouldn’t be a Simon & Freddy!
I want to thank SwedishWolf who build the webpage and did things I didn’t even dare to dream. (release veeeeery soon )
Big Thanks go to Obbl who has done a fantastic job with editing and counterchecking since the beginning of this comic. Without him you all would have had to deal with my mediocre English.
I also want to thank Valerio who’s providing the Italian translation of all the comic strips. Mille Grazie mio amico! Also big thanks to zdflion96 who’s translating “Simon and Freddy” into the Spanish language.
Then I want to thank Hlaoroo who’s helping me with great background information, co-writing and providing the Australian accent for Beatrice.
