Completely neglected to post the daily drawings I did in October as part of the month’s prompts leading up to Halloween. Considering how many there are, here’s a link to them all, as nearly all of them have some lore to them, and even introduce new characters. https://www.deviantart.com/d-rock92/gal ... -drawtober

In an unthinking moment of derangement, I volunteered to shepherd a bunch of pre-kindergards at a Sunday school for about twenty minutes. I walked into munchinkin bedlam! Then, in what may have been a Divine inspiration, I just started singing the "SpongeBob SquarePants" theme ... and INSTANT AWE AND SILENCE. We then launched into a vigorous but very polite discussion about comparative ploy nuances, assorted charcters and their personalities, and subtle animation borrowings from Rugrats and the Power Puff Girls. They had a great time and the teachers never asked me to take over again.

I learned so much watching TV with my kids ... ;)

I know it's a bit kitsch and not the greatest, but my lights went out in the middle of making it and I had to finish in the dark. A mix of a trad background and digital elements; despite what you may believe, it is NOT A.I generated. The watery, warped surrreal effect was acheieved via blurring and smooshing the traditional elements (done in colored pencil) to hell and back. Merry Christmas, y'all!

A little drawing I did showing Daisy and my oc, Nadia as they're on their way to ECP's boarding house to meet with with Sasha. Nadia became good friends with them shortly after moving to Babylon Gardens
I tried to make a simple background, but I had some limitations due to making it on a phone with my fingers instead of a drawing pad.

Thank you guys!
I would like to clear that I didn't make whole thing on my phone. I made a pencil sketch of the characters first, then used that to make the digital version. The background was the only thing I drew on the phone from a scratch. I do have plans to buy a drawing pad next year (my sister has one, but she has schoolwork and commissions to do, so I can't really borrow it), hopefully I can make better backgrounds with that in the future

When I created Nadia, I was considering to use her as a roleplay character in one of the rps here (I even wrote her S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats)... then I decided against it. Roleplaying is something I want to do (I did one with my sister and it was fun), but I'm afraid of joining because I might ruin it with forced over-the-top jokes. Or maybe I could actually take it seriously and I just have low self-esteem.
Since the black cat character also came up, I thought about turning him into a Housepets character as well. The "magical black cat" role is already taken by Sabrina, so my cat might still be a magician, but he would have no idea about the magic that Sabrina and Tarot can use.

Having never role-played myself, I'm not sure how you get into an existing community (if you're looking to join a particular narrative). Maybe others more knowledgeable than me - no challenge, I'll grant you - could advise you, Chieris.

Great pic of Nadia and Daisy, like the line style. I really liked Daisy in the comic, a canine of few words but I think that made her all the more enigmatic.

The drawing of Santa is intriguing Harry, like the blurred background, always helps to add depth.

Not drawn for a while, too busy I'm afraid but here's a little something.

Happy New Year from Deer all!! May your path be clear and your tread sure.

Happy new years and brilliant work! From a distance it looks just like a photo - it's like what Impressionist painters did, preying on the audience's distance (and eyesight) to make large brush-strokes appear disturbingly realistic.

Also, although it was (probably) unintentional, I appreciate you leaving the construction lines visible on the deer. The animated Lackadaisy pilot did a very similar thing, because you can't even trust your own eyes anymore with A.I art floating around.

Don't sweat it 'bout the phone thing. I actually do most of my work with my finger too, you'll get used to it (I actually have a harder time while using a drawing pad now). Also, love the eyes.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on the previous drawings! I made another one, that I did finish last year but took me a year to post it.
Nadia met Peanut shortly after moving to Babylon Gardens and while she's nearly not as close to him as Daisy and Sasha, but they still occasionally hang out and now she was invited to an Imaginate session, where they are gonna perform Spider-Man... because what came into my mind. Nadia's acting skills are mediocre at best (still better at that than singing though), but it won't count as long as they're having fun, right?
This time I used 3 different pencil sketches, 1 had Peanut and Nadia, the other had Grape and Max and the 3rd one had the background which I previously wanted to use for a previous project that went nowhere.

Since I imagined this session as a chaotic mix of all versions of Spider-Man (the 3 most recent live-action versions, cartoons, some comics and the Spider-Verse movies all blended together), I thought she would be Dr. Olivia Octavius from Into the Spider-Verse (which I still didn't watch for some reason) and just spice it up even more, there is someone else, who plays as the original Doc Ock
