Yes, but I can't make head nor tail of the buffalo one. I believe it employs slang or little-known words.

The real reason he wasn't credited was because he didn't like how the hardware rendered the sounds. But after his death they admitted to the truth.

Interstingly the word "Petrichor" comes from two words, "Petra", meaning "stone", and "ichor" which is the blood of the gods in ancient Greek mythology. So when you smell rain, you're smelling the blood of the ground, or the blood of the earth.

In 1768 - 1770, the project was finished, and then revised by Catherine II herself - the construction plans included demolishing most of Kremlin walls, and moving the surviving parts of it. Technically, the only thing that would have would have been intact were cathedrals inside Kremlin. In 1773 the construction began with supporting the southern slope of the hill, and demolishing a part of the wall and several towers. By 1775, though, it was stopped. Officially - due to damage to one of the cathedrals and risk of the whole palace sliding off the hill down into the river. Some historians also suggest that Catherine herself was reluctant on renovating Moscow itself. In 1778 the demolished part of the wall was re-built.
Now all we have is several paintings, that were made with that project in mind (that is the first project, 1768), Bazhenov's blueprints and an original scale model (1:48), that is now slowly being restorated by Moscow's state museum of architecture.

I think Argent is stating that, provided that a signal is sent in digital format, there is no loss of quality if you compare the encoded data to the decoded data if the signal is received in its entirety. However, in terms of transmission distance, properly shielded cables for both digital and analog signals increase the length of wire that can be used, prevent RF leakage and improve SNR. Digital however, also has the advantage of containing error correcting code to make up for lost signal to varying degrees of success.

In similar news, we can comfortably fit the entire population of the Earth, about 7 billion and counting, within an area of 500 square miles, provided everyone stood shoulder to shoulder. This area is roughly equivalent to Los Angeles, but we would have to level the city first.
