I almost wish that Rick hadn't included the silhouette of the shovel in panel 2, thus giving the impression that King literally took some matches, a rubber band, a paper clip, and a turkey baster and created a shovel with it. MacGyver, indeed!

YEah, so many awesome things and he goes simple. macGuyver would be ashamed...

Duchess sure is seeing stars now.Yes, I know that makes no sense, but those are some BIG stars!

King has a great thinking face in the third panel.

Aye. If I weren't so determined not to screw up the Flip-Flop King Quartet thing Diss, Brent, Kitela, and I have going on right now, I might be tempted to make it my avatar.

I'm wondering if King is looking back to when he accepted the money to be with her in the valentine's day show. Was it worth it?

Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Good thing he has a shovel though, since it will come in handy when he has to get rid of the body.

Good job King! Now, use the shovel to hide the evidence and then move on as if it never happened... Just make sure you're careful about alibi's. DNA, and where you put the body: some meddling Great-Danes with some kid with a speech impediment might screw it up...

MacGyver is one we should all look up to for answers. And I find the King arcs to be my favorite.

Well, that was some wham episode (no pun intended, or did I?). The fact is I didn't see that coming.

Which led to my next question, is King's action based on his past experience as a human toward pet or his experience as a dog?

Somehow i'm half expecting her to not be stopped by something like a shovel to the head. this is King we're talking about. The one with the 1/10 points in strength!

I hate to say, but I am happy King got his revenge on this creepy stalker lady. Hopefully this will teacher her not to mess with him and leave him alone.

Next strip, Duchess wakes up in the ward that was named after Bino. She gets the idea that he's rich or famous and then goes after him.

i think King may have overused the word 'cunning' because he only hit her in the head with a shovel, unless the items that were identified is part of the next step

the rope i can think of what he would use it for but a turkey baster??? and that little box, i have no clue what that is.

Well, maybe my awesome sense was wrong again. :?

I dread where this may go, knowing what he usually gets himself into. He just knocked out a rich show-dog. Tell me he's NOT going to catch crap for this when she wakes up. :? Or before.

yeah he's ganna have **** to pay when she tells Boris, also you seem to fear the worst case scenario when it comes to King...

Knocking someone out cold (if she's even knocked out; we don't know for sure) with a shovel in a comic strip hardly has the same, or even similar, implications as doing so in real life.

Chances are slim that anything serious will come of this.

Maybe that's the reason why Boris is so worried, he knows every time Duchess attempts to use the Love Whip, she gets whacked on the head thus causing her to lose her memory of using the Love Whip and thus the cycle continues.

that's a box of matches.
but the joke here is that he asked "what would MacGyver do" and saw a bunch of the things MacGyver stereotypically used in his plans (i.e. rope, a paperclip, a box of matches, a rubber band) and the Turkey baster which I don't think he's used, but ended up just hitting her with a shovel, one of the simplest possible solutions.

Not the first time something like this has occurred. Remember Bino and the frying pan?

My concern stems from the mood of King's story arc and what usually takes place in it. With his luck, it's not such a stretch to see him ending up behind bars for a third time.

This arc has already been going on for 5 weeks though. I highly doubt Rick would want to drag it out long enough for something like that to happen. If something big like that were going to happen, something that'd take several strips to properly resolve, I imagine that it would've happened already.

Yah, its good that Rick is moderate about the violence, he only has it in extreme cases, I'm on King's side here.

Well she certainly had that coming. I'm totally lost for what to think now, where could this arc possibly end unless just with King dropping Duchess off at her door tied up by her own whip
