Food!
Topic says it all! Thread about food, cause well, everyone likes food, right? (Mostly everyone xP)
You can either talk about food you like, favourite places you like to go to, recommend others to certain places, you name it!
I'll also be making a "Recipe list" For those who want to share their own special way of making stuff~
So ya'll, go nuts! I'm not much of a chef myself so I can't really help on the recipes. :c
Please note that if you do decide to share a recipe or two, please try to use measurements everyone can understand.

Re: Food!
I am a tomato addict. All my favorite foods tend to involve tomatoes. I'll put ketchup on just about everything. You know how Rocky treats syrup? That's pretty close to how I treat ketchup. Other times I'll use marinara sauce instead if that's more appropriate for the food in question. Or, more rarely, red salsa. I also enjoy tomato soup. I should try gazpacho at some point. I dislike tomato juice, though, and I have no idea why.
I'm also allergic to tomatoes.

So If tomatoes are a fruit, does that consider ketchup is a smoothie?Sleet wrote:I am a tomato addict. All my favorite foods tend to involve tomatoes. I'll put ketchup on just about everything. Generally, if it's a vegetable, I'll be hesitant to eat it, but there are some that I like. Fruits, I like more, and almost any meat is good in my book. Except for maybe liver. Eugh. >.<

I believe that, if the food is made, it should be at least tried with nothing else first. Then if it tastes bad, it needs condiments.

Re: Food!
I will never eat tomatoes again in my life. And here is why, I work on a farm, and the bossman has 2 fields with tomatoes, one organic field, and one the conventional way with pesticides and the likes. Now, he gets orders from stores we need to fill out, and we often have to pick tomatoes for 3 hours a day, sometimes 60 boxes are ordered by one store, each box weighs 25 pounds, so basically he has us out in the fields working for hours on end filling orders. I will never eat another tomato as long as I live.On a related note, Im color blind to you know what? RED yah the color of tomatoes they just look grey, and you know what else looks grey? UNRIPE TOMATOES! GAHHHH!

Here's my favourite sandwich that I've made
1 Slice of Bread
2 Large chunks of lettuce
3 Fresh tomato slices
A dash of "Gringo Bandito" Hot sauce
1 Full chopped up Habanero
Thick Meat patty
4 Bacon strips
Thick Meat patty
A few lines of Mustard
1 Slice of Bread
I call it the "Firework"... because it will full on light up your mouth
Also, Coke to drink
And yes, it's two patties

I also love spicy things, in general. Spicy sauce, spicy salsa, etc. numnumnum. I just...don't particularly enjoy like, fruits/vegetables (Hate how they feel when I eat them), so I miss out on some of the best spicy things. =(

Re: Food!
some of those ingredients are optional.
Re: Food!
Eh, I am a simple man with simple tastes. The blander the better for me. I eat just about everything plain, with as little spices as possible. I cannot eat spicy stuff. Or cold stuff.
I can cook a bit, but not much. I only have those do it yourself, nuke 'em kind of original recipes. Things you come up with when you forget to go shopping and have to fend for yourself with whatever is there. If you want a simple one, here is a good panini-like sandwich that can be made.
You will need:
1 soft taco shell
Bacon bits, like the kind for salads
two slices of ham, turkey, or whatever meat you want to use
Shredded cheese. Again, whatever you prefer. I use cheddar myself
BAsically, you slap the ham slices on the taco shell so that they cover it completely, then sprinkle the cheese and bacon bits on top of the meat and nuke it until the cheese melts completely. Then you just fold it over and enjoy. You can add some mayo or mustard or something after you nuke it if you like. I like to add a dollop of mayo, but I have strange tastes, so yeah.

Re: Food!
I had a good sandwich today, here is what it was made of
2 slices of white bread
many slices of cheese and roast beef
some Doritos (don't ask why, this is optional)
ham
more roast beef
and some salami
Iv made this once before, and its surprisingly good, though a bit odd for some people. However my brother stole it.

I am like that too! I don't add any additional sauce or seasoning to any food, not even tomato sauce to french fries. Though if it doesn't taste good during the first try, then it is time to add condiments! (Or stop eating it altogether!)Tha Housefox wrote:I believe that, if the food is made, it should be at least tried with nothing else first. Then if it tastes bad, it needs condiments.
I always feel wasteful whenever I see someone add chili sauce to absolutely everything they eat.
Re: Food!
I like my food spicy, even if I can't actually stand spicy stuff. I would even eat raw chillies just for the fun of it...
Also, I prefer to eat vegetables and grains as compared to meat, due to my mum's upbringing. I can live without eating any kind of meat for a week, but will start to feel weird if I have not had any greens for even a day. I do love me some hamburger or steak, don't get me wrong, but I have my preferences.
One question though, is this meal a vegetarian one?
- Rice (yeah, typical Asian staple)
- Some green salads
- A fried egg, sunny side up
When I had this for lunch, people were always asking, "You're a vegetarian, right?" I always thought that a vegetarian would not eat any poultry products, like eggs.

Vegetarians don't eat meat. Eggs, milk, and other products of animals are OK. It's vegans that don't eat anything coming from animals.

When I get Mcdonalds (which is like everyday since I work there) specifically Mcdoubles (but any sandwich really, except like Big Macs) I like to get some ketchup and dip the burger into the ketchup like you would with fries. I'm most likely the only person who does this.

I had a PLT (pastrami, lettuce, and tomato) sandwich, half sour pickles, cabbage soup, and a chocolate chip cookie bigger than my entire hand yesterday for lunch. XD It was awesome!

And about ice-cream, I've read somewhere that 5% of the American population don't like it.
