Well this should be interesting, can't wait to hear what this is all about. Betting its about that whole Soul Shattering Prophecy, also usually when a woman wants to have a serious talk it isn't anything good the majority of the time.

I find anybody wanting to have a serious talk is almost even good.

Looks like they split up after all... And would you care to elaborate on what fleas are the pet equivalents of?

Awwwwws at third panel Peanut.

I know they are supposed to be cobblestones, but the circles on the ground almost look like Peanut and Tarot are dining atop the Sea of Holes from the "Yellow Submarine" movie. Somewhat fitting given the theme of universe hopping.

It must be serious business having fleas and all. i wonder if its comparable to getting lice or pink eye? I also wonder what Tarot was wanting to talk about before Peanut had a panic attack?

Rick is going through the smorgasbord of great tv and movie scenes and backgrounds.

Sadface Peanut expression is extremely classy.

Sea of Holes? Isn't that just before the Sea of Green?

He just seems so happy about everything doesn't he?
I noticed that with the exception of the last strip, his tail has been wagging ever since they came to this universe. How can that not be adorable??

Not just you. For whatever reason this particular universe seems to be increasing his adorbs factor.

Humorous note: I bet that table was setup in their own universe so they wouldn't have to go through the trouble of setting it up here.

First off: Peanut's last two panels are <3. Also love the paw on cheek moment, though clearly it's lost some of it's romantic consoling feeling to Tarot's dismay X3

Second: I bet Friday's comic skips back to Grape and Max in a similar manner, allowing us to torture our brains. Just saying. =3

The keyword here is "usually." I figured that Peanut's blunt nature would eventually become irritating.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next comic was a skip to the 'after-the-talk'.
In the meantime, I'll keep enjoying the total adorbs levels here :D

Also: a lady shouldn't indulge in...certain problems. Class, please!

Same here I highly doubt we are getting the answer to this tidbit until later in the arc. I'm gonna speculate here and say its has to do with either that Prophecy or just Grape in general leading into what I brought up last topic about how this arc could end. Of course there are other things it could be about, given how these types of talks usually go, Pregnancy and Breakup spring to mind right away, however I feel both are pretty unlikely; though not out of the realm of possibility.

Before I go poetic, may I just remind people Tarot caught 'something' at the end of the King/Bailey arc?

At the back of an Italian diner
Tarot and Peanut get to romantic
as they sit, ready for lovely meatballs
Peanut now decides to get pedantic?
It's not correct to ask on fleas
of your lady love, young sir
especially when she caught a bouquet -
she may want you down on your knees
(When you get the things back again).
It's not best to obsess when she requests
your attention after the alley meal.
Pay attention or the statement may hurt
the synapses as it strains your good brain.
The world(s) is/are about to change for Peanut
Pay attention lad. Don't be a doughnut.

Ehhhh maybe but I really don't think Rick would do another wedding so soon after King and Bailey's.

Edit: Plus I don't think Peanut is the marrying type (at least with any sort of seriousness) I just thought of something else it could be, the fact that Tarot doesn't actually have an owner. That would be an interesting conversation for sure.

Well the logical three reasons...

1. We should move this to the next level and do what King and Bailey did. I'LL wear the dress!

2. Have you met Karishad? Well, y'see...

3. Remember I called you 'Daddy' a little while ago?

So Rick will probably go with the 4th option.

Tarot: "Peanut... um,... I don't know how to tell you this, but..."

Peanut: "ACK! I knew it! You're... you're seeing someone else, aren't you?"

Tarot: "No.., mmm... you, me, Grape and Maxie... we're... we can't go back to our old universe."

Peanut: "What!? WHY!?"

Tarot: "I don't know! Some sort of Space Time Continuum thingie... oh and some clown called *Q* "

Tarot: Something I have to say......
Peanut: What?
Tarot: I'm...I'm.....(Takes off disguise) I'm a CAT!
Peanut: Hey, I'm cool with that.

Anyone consider that Tarot might be pregnant? In the previous comic she did call Peanut "Daddy", and now there's an important talk between the two of them, and the hint at the bottom saying something about fleas being along the lines of.. -cough cough-.. This becomes a likely plot point..

The link text has absolutely nothing official to do with the strip and is typically the first idiotic thing that runs through what I sometimes jokingly consider my brain. You should not consider it canon or in any way representative of potential plot points, nor should you factor it into your analyses of the strip.

I think you better save that confetti when Tarot reveals the "really serious thing" to Peanut.

At least tag this as spoilers. I would hate for the surprise to be ruined.

I think you fail to realize confetti is a fundamental prerequisite for surprises.

Well...I'd be lying if I said 'no' to this. That did admittingly cross my mind.

I do doubt that might be the case though, it's probably something else. That's not to say that possibility isn't a possibility.
