Oh hey, I read that book as a teen. It's probably a bit more controversial in their universe, though.

I'm not sure, but something tells me that King isn't ready for kids. Also, I know she's a dog, but that is one of the weirdest things I've heard. Not the first time I've heard it, but still weird.

aww, they're already like an old married couple, bailey with her adorable glasses reading a book and King...Panicking hmm, maybe not so much. but, either way they do make an adorable couple and are by far my favorite couple. im glad that atleast one of my ships has sailed and is on steady waters. though for king's sake let's hope that water won't Break soon.
Re: 2014/03/10 - Bedtime Snack
That's totally what you want right before bed... A freakin HEART ATTACK! XD Poor King.
Oddly enough, cherry and pickle isnt the weirdest thing I've seen people eat as the norm. One of my uncles eats like, peanut-butter, pickle, ketchup sandwiches.

While on the other hand, King doesn't wear his collar to bed. Also, I'm betting at least on of the King fans will update their user icon thing with this comic; lots of lols!copper wrote: She wears her scarf to bed? She needs glasses? Interesting...

Yeah. I'm sad that it's a one-off, but "one year" is going to be ending in a couple of months, so I can be patient. =)Kyuubi Kitsune wrote:Phahahahahaha! Oh I was not expecting that this morning.

This one is incredibly cute, and even though it's a one-off, it makes me hopeful for the day when King is free to live his canine life, unhindered by inhibitions of his previous life and the plans of a certain malicious griffon. This comic just made my day (and probably week). Go Kingley!
On another note, I'm not dead! Sorry it's been a while...work kinda swallowed up my life. ^^;

I nearly spoiled my coffee when I saw it. Did it really happen? I hope. But it must be true as the Bad Translator already predicted it:
Oh yes, that one year. *waiting curiously how that'll end*
Maybe it's an one-off because it doesn't contain sufficient PG-material to become an arc.Ryusuta wrote:Yeah. I'm sad that it's a one-off, but "one year" is going to be ending in a couple of months, so I can be patient. =)

At first I thought Bailey enjoyed pickle and cherry milkshakes and just had a craving for one (we all have food cravings every now and again, don't we?). But reading the comments here, especially Render's, maybe they may be having babies at some point! I also didn't know Bailey wears reading glasses, they do seem to make her look a little older.
Also, good book choice Bailey!

Re: 2014/03/10 - Bedtime Snack
As cute as it is, I still really see King and Lionheart Bailey's relationship ending pretty poorly. I used to be in the small contingent of folks who hoped King would change back -- now, I'm kind of torn between both.
I'm kind of dreading Pete's reveal. It's like one of those comedy or rom-com movies where the protagonist lies about who they really are, that lie becomes a keystone or a sticking point to a relationship or a team with a common/noble goal, then that partner or team find out the truth, they end up not trusting the protagonist, they kick the protagonist out, and moping for everybody! (Variations may exist, see: Chicken Run, Bug's Life, Mrs. Doubtfire, Avatar). I'm the kind of person who ends up really empathizing with fictional characters in media, so up until the reveal and moping and the whole protagonist's "I may not REALLY be 'x', but in a way, I AM 'x'! I'm going back to save the day and/or get the girl/guy!" epiphany or speech, stories with this plot become kind of difficult for me to read/watch because I just know it's going to lead to that reveal and it's going to put a wrench in everything and... just.... ngaaaaaaaaafgfdfgsgf
I'm not saying this kind of plot is bad -- The King's Speech (coincidentally enough) had a pretty good twist on this -- it's just... hard to watch while knowing the reveal is coming.

Maybe he needed a drink of water? (* Bricked! *)Bailey wrote:Hon, why are you hiding in the bathroom, that is not the kitchen!
Hmm... well, the pickle and the catsup would pick up the saltiness of the peanut butter. Still, a little unusual.Brendmar wrote:One of my uncles eats like, peanut-butter, pickle, ketchup sandwiches.
You noticed that too? The Wolves and the dogs generally need reading glasses. And Bailey's adorkable wearing them.Welsh Halfwit wrote:So Miles loaned her a pair of reading glasses?
For the curious, Bailey's book is Mark Haddon's novel about a British teenager with an unspecified Autistic Spectrum disorder. The title comes from a Sherlock Holmes quote in Arthur Conan Doyle's short story Silver Blaze. I haven't read Haddon's book yet (so don't spoil it) but I've lived all my life with a person with Asperger syndrome. It gives one an interesting perspective. I'm not sure if The Dog in the Night-Time would make a good Imaginate! segment...
(Edit) ...Unless they could get King to play Christopher...

The book was OK, but people familiar with autistic spectrum disorders tell me it's not at all realistic.
