Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
I thought I already said yes to it, but apparently not. Also, sorry I haven't posted, but things are rather busy on my end. I was supposed to move to Colorado with my dad, but then the guys who own what was going to be his new apartment decided they didn't want him at the last minute, so now everyone's kinda ticked off, and we have to cancel a lot of things.

That is an excessively unfair and selfish move on their parts... good luck with fixing that, i hope you can get alternate accommodations secured soon.

Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
Yeah, thankfully he can still head out there, since he has family in Boulder, but their house isn't big enough for both him and me to stay there, so I have to stay with my mom and step-dad for a while, and to say I like being there would be a lie. It's mostly a bunch of little things, but the big problem I have with my step-dad is that he doesn't take anything about me seriously. My hobbies, my feelings, my concerns, he treats all of it like it's pointless, nothing worth caring about. But this is starting to turn into a rant, so all I'm going to say is that the next post should be up before Wednesday.

I'm personally hoping MT will get called in. Even if he doesn't open the door, he can probably talk to the AI. No reason they can't call for him in addition to Conall.

yep. she was suposed to be white with cinnamon brown acents, but the watercolor brush tool in clip studio can be a bit smudgy, so it ended up sand brown and cream instead... i haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

I was under the impression that Corporal wasn't Corp's full name. Mostly because I'm pretty sure I remember being told it wasn't.

General rule. Captain's call you what they like. Even if he never uses it as short for Corporal he's not going to object to the Captain using it.

Yeah but he doesn't mind.
A. He was the rank of Corporal before transferring to Security.
B. Response gag. See how he almost called Captain Walker 'Liz' in his arrival at the scene? Concern for who's in there over-riding normal title calling?

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
Hey guys. Because Deske and I were posting too fast again and we kind of need to in order to get this done in a reasonable time, we decided to do this mech fighting stuff in PMs to eachother, then compile them into larger but less frequent posts at least for the duration of the simulated fights. Kind of like what Welsh Halfwit and I did in RA, except for different reasons. So if I don't post for a while in the main SteelHaven RP, that's why.

Hey, just letting you guys know I may not be posting for a while. We had to put down one of our cats down yesterday, and I'm still coping with the loss. Petey was with me for as long as I can remember, and I'm going to miss his soft purrs and tendency to spend WAY too long kneading my belly before lying down on it.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
So, I've taken my time to grieve, so I'll post a bit more regularly now, but I have one question I want to ask you guys first. What do you think of Liz? Early on, I DEFINITELY made her too emotional, but I'm still concerned I'm not doing a good job portraying her as worth of her position. Do you guys think she's okay, or is there room for improvement?

The captain? Well, MT respects her. She seems to me to be a good leader. Still though, I suppose there is always room for character development and improvement.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
I like her. I don't see a problem with her being emotional either. She's human so she's bound to struggle at times. And it's good that she cares for her ship and her crew and that she leads by example. Humility, compassion, and dedication are qualities I look for in a good leader as well as the courage and discipline to get things done. Discipline and courage without humility and compassion just leads to being a dictator or to abuse of power. So I think you're doing well with Liz!

Looks good. Pretty much what I imagined the average republic uniform to look like. I assume you finished this before I told you what the logo looks like? Or were you not able to fit that in?

also, it's derived almost entirely from variants of the 2270s (first batch of movies) uniform.
-----------
cleaned it up a bit. you said in the PM you hadn't decided on colors, so...
also, yes, i know, the symbol is a horrid oversimplification that just came out looking like a stylized "Q".. you like? Y/N

Coolness from me. Corp's just Corp with his combat uniform. He does have some of those more official outfits for when required. And his normal outfit will have the Logo on it. and the Security tags.

yeah, about corp, i might have decided to pull some inspiration for the dress uniform variant from a familiar place
though the full size version of the emblem looks odd on just about anything...Most important thing I've learned from D&D?

Nice uniforms, really liking the designs. That dress uniform does look oddly familiar
