Xane, How you post so fast?

Okay, so they're back at the Arbelt residence? Good, I was hoping for some more Tiger. But now what, are they gonna head back to the woods. And something I've been thinking about, is this the Christmas arc? Or is it gonna end soon, and then this year's Christmas arc will start?

Gotta say, I do enjoy the design of Jess at times: She seems constantly tired or bored with the way her eyelids are drawn (just something I randomly noticed while I'm half asleep here  )

Judging by his face in the last panel he's loving learning.

In the faint, early, hour
Jess has forgiven her Zach.
Looking sweet without a glower
and giving Archie a whack.
She's teaching Zach tactics
that he's noting down with glee.
Marvin's missing all the antics,
sleeping when he should watch, see?
So Zach's made it home safe and sound
and it seems Jess may stay the night,
It's warmer in a house than on the ground
and it's fun for him to see her fight...

It is official Jessica is one of my favorite characters, I knew she was something special from the first time she disagreed with everything and everyone.

Actually it would make sense for this to be the Christmas arc. Jessica is injured and must stay over the holidays, which is when she was first really introduced, and throughout Christmas season Cory might be stealing and scamming presents off people, leaving Jessica and Zach to stop him. My predictions at least.

methinks that as a favor to zach, Keene will have Cory and Trinket handled & relocated while Falstaff will be sent back as favor to Jesse

I would probably say that the arch will end just before Christmas so that Rich can show us what all the other characters are doing. We'll likely see King, Bailey and Fox before the year is out. Even if they are only in a one off strip.

Oh Tiger, I thought you learned to get over the fact that you have a name of a cat...I also thought you'd learn that possums have an incredibly good left hook but what would I know.

I'm also gonna hazard a guess and assume this arc concludes on Friday? Cory at least has to have some comeuppance or appearance near the end...

I'm actually more worried about Peanut and Grape(big shock, I know). I'm still hoping that this year's Christmas arc will focus on those two, even if the arc is short.

Hmmm.

We follow King as Godlings destroy his life and he tries to fight back.

We follow Tiger as he loses his mind, gets beaten up by a Feral and taken down hard by the police.

We follow Zach as he's terrified, almost killed twice, imprisoned, injured and attacked by a Golem.

We're Jinxes. So long as we DON'T watch Grape and Peanut, they're safe so you needn't worry. Worry when we DO see them. ;)

It seems that the focal characters of each arc recently have been in less than desirable situations, so it may be a good thing that Peanut and Grape haven't gotten the focus recently

Jess has changed her mind on luck, I see. But then she's getting free room and board, AND a punching bag... that's not bad luck at all.

You said you were worried about Grape and Peanut, Welsh Halfwit demonstrated bad things happen to characters whose lives we focus on. His point was that to see Peanut and Grape may invite hardship, which likely would make you worry more. Pets seem not to get in much trouble when we aren't watching, so you shouldn't worry overmuch about Grape and Peanut.

Isn't promoting equality between animals and humans still Keene's main goal? I could see him hiring on Jessica as a tough no nonsense adviser on getting the various feral populations on board with that goal.

Well, considering that it is 3 in the morning, it is quite unusual for one who does nothing but eat and rest to not be asleep.

...

It's that time of the year again! Regarding Christmas arcs, we've had 1 Christmas featuring the whole cast, 3 King Christmases, 1 Peanut&Grape Christmas and 1 Jess Christmas. Soo I wouldn't be surprised if this arc drags on till the 25th. But if the arc were to come to an abrupt end, I'm certain it'll return sometime next year. Cory won't get away with this

I actually agreeing with Jess here. Sometimes bad things are our own fault, others fault, or no one's.

And hey, good to see that she's still on the same terms with Tiger as before. Wonder what else Zach can learn from her.

This is a great point. If we focused on Peanut and Grape, then Grape would probably break a leg when Peanut wakes her up, and then peanut will fall down the stairs and end up in a full body cast. Probably a good thing we don't focus on them. :P

I was half way to this discussion, I signed in and got to the comic section, then I went to read the comic again. I saw the link, and I forgot all about browsing for this. Why browse, the link was right there. I mean, who wants 2 or 3 extra clicks, when I could do it in one. :D

Nice to see that Jess and Zach get along so well. I wonder what would happen if Jess meets Marvin :?:
That strip really made me laugh, I needed it today :D

Aside from that I realised it's REALLY REALLY dangerous to mess around with ANY of the female cast of housepets.

Great, the worse ended. :D Enjoying the night time together at Arbelt's house now, but think also to sleep a bit, you're not totally fine. ;) It's pretty surprising see Jessica reply in that way, she understands Zach, very good of her. :) Zach, don't continue to blame yourself, what happened hasn't been all your fault, and fortunately it didn't get worse. Oh, Archibald/Pussycat, you didn't learn nothing from that last time with that "rodent"... Poor you. :P That's a much better reply now, Jessica. :D Take note Zach, that's an advice useful for the life, Tiger is already a sort of your enemy.
Keene's plan with Zach got apparently successful, despite in another unexpected way. So, where's his compensation? :P Zach didn't break a leg for nothing... And, what are still doing Cory and Trinket?

Actually who isn't a dangerous female in Housepets?
Sasha comes to mind but then I remember that she threatened to staple Binos something to something. Duchess has her bodyguard/henchman. You don't want to mess with Bailey or Grape. Theirs that girl mouse and the one of the wolf cubs but we don't know enough to make judgements. I can only realy think of that cat who wrote pridelands. She was timid.
Sorry for the lack of names and detail but these were a while back.
