[ Not Over Yet ]

Title Text: Sec 1: I hereby swear that I have not been replaced by any of the following, or should you presuppose I have been replaced by a nega-version or bizarro version of myself, I not-swear the following:

I guess it's official. Keene really DOES have a heart! <3

Thank goodness, I was worried about these two! Despite their inconvenient detour, I'd say that they were well-compensated. The roaring fire on the screen adds a nice touch too. Nachos and chips for all and to all a good night!

This is the most heartwarming thing I've seen in awhile.

This was rather touching. Funny, though, how Keene had to go out of his way to say it was him.

Heh, at first I thought the K stood for King, but then I thought "There's no way he could afford all that!" (Not without the financial aid of a certain Ferret), and the letter also mentions a Lana (BTW, Who's Lana?).

Also, cheer up, Roos. There's always the New Year's Eve Party... ;)

MrBlueSky7 wrote:(BTW, Who's Lana?).
Lana is Keene's sister, or at least a female ferret who was also owned by the late Mr. Milton.
From the cast page:
Rick Griffin wrote:Sensible, but silly, Lana is the only girl of the bunch. She takes care of the household management and maintains a proper ladylike attitude with all of their employees and clients, except when she doesn’t want to.

I guess Keene can do nice things without wanting anything for himself. This comic has me smiling with a large smile on my face. Glad they got home, and glad they have a nice Christmas. :D

This is probably tied for the comic update I smiled most at since I started reading. The other one is when Zach and Jessica kissed. I CAN NOT STOP SMILING!

I Love how Rick can present scenes in the comic to express more that what can be said. The last panel left me speechless and happy to see them getting a good Christmas.

Lana should've also mentioned he was also not replaced by a female Keene. =P

Keep forgetting how much things get to poor Roosevelt. glad though he got some gifts while away. <3

Seas rose and the skies rolled,
choppy weather shuddered past the ship.
Bad upstairs but worse in the hold
especially on Christmas Day in the morning.

We missed our friends on our way to port
on the Zoo's dime. Not the Zoo's crime
but those in who we trusted, sport,
we landed on Christmas Day in the morning.

It took four days to get us home,
travelling freight, across the state.
Back to our cave, betrayed and alone...
We'll have Christmas Day in the morning!

The brightness dazzles and our dreams are relit
as we turn on the light on what Keene did!
We know he has a rep as a bit of a...guy...
but this season really is splendid!

This is quite an uplifting piece here Rick. I had wondered of they had gotten home yet, and seeing Roosevelt almost about to cry just made me want to hug him. But im so glad they got something sweet in return for their troubles. Really brings a tear to my eye. Well done.

Xane wrote:I always figured Roosevelt was the "slightly grumpy" type since he usually looks a little more annoyed by the shenanigans going on around him than Bruce does (though we really haven't seen enough of them to really tell much of their personalities anyway...), seeing him so upset and crying here is just heartbreaking. Glad he got a belated Christmas after all. Just wanna hug both of 'em, really. :)
I think the tears in the last panel were more of joy than being upset. =)

This is the page that finally convinced me get an account on this forum so I can comment :D

Remember Keene was left behind in the ferret pen in A Holiday at the Zoo? I think that's what he meant in the letter.

That's what I love about Housepets, Rick never forgets past events

In which case, Karishad would have made him a better person from the very beginning. :D

This is a good theory, and probably is what he is talking about. I love when past events are remembered.
I still can't stop smiling.

Thank goodness they made it back, and Kenne even had the heart to give them a heater with a digital fireplace.
The comic in which they were left behind has hilarious and I was always wondering what fate befell them.
Did anyone else notice the corn sitting next to the tree.

Roosevelt is adorable.
I am perplexed, what is the PPPS on Keenes note.
It looks like NOR A POO/POD PERSON.
If it is POD person then I am guessing that it is a reference to something sci-fi?

Though it does look there's more cables and stereo equipment now.

Such a heart warming moment, Roosevelt's reaction is just sweet. =^^=

I'm also surprised that Keene didn't mention that he wasn't visited by three ghosts warning him not to continue his greedy ways.

If Keene was visited by ghosts he'd try and trap them. He's probably got a miniature ectoplasmic containment unit hidden under his bedroom carpet. I know I would if I was a billionaire mad scientist ferret.

I know he has scientists and a science lab, but I can't think of him as a mad scientist...

I guess now a good question to ask would be this:

How DID Keene find out that the Roos went missing?

Rock probably called him from the ship.
