I don't know if I'm in a situation like this -big angry cat coming toward us- my reaction would be like Peanut's or Max's

I'm pretty sure Sabrina is going to fall in love. Sabercat looks a lot like someone else we know .

IF you're referring to the speaking factor, being a feral doesn't imply he/she can't talk. It only means that there might be a slight language barrier problem.

She's probably just checking they went back in time and didn't just change location.

You can just feel the sarcasm dripping from Max's mouth in the second panel.

Figures Peanut is the one applauding the arrival of a huge dangerious feline while all the other cats are worried.

With how Peanut reacted in Panel 3 and 4 you should suspect that he wanted an adventure and thus somehow corrupted the spell to be sent back as well.

Title Text: Technically sabertooths were extinct around the paleolithic, but we can presume that this is a rough estimate. Or you don't have to think QUITE so hard

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the comic doesn't care about accuracies. Lots of fiction don't care about accuracy, and who knows? Maybe the Housepets! world developed differently.

That, and smilodons are presumably just as sentient as everything else and thus could have resisted the factors that killed them off on our Earth for a longer time. Or, you know, it's not like they have an exact date. Or maybe it's that world's equivalent of a bigfoot.
