Also, I just think it's cute that the green husky is still thinking about Fox.

A brilliant little cameo I hadn't quite expected there.

So Keene's on the down train,
heading back to Earth?
And Breel arrives quickly,
running for all he's worth.
It's nice to see Foxs' green lady
still recalls her beau;
she wrote him a letter,
the lucky old so-and-so.
He's not going ahaunting...

Oh, and it does seem Foxes' lovely lady has been keeping her eye on him. She knows he's slim (and hunky) and joined the Police.

Well, Keene, now you HAVE to haunt the Earth (weird how casual that is in Heaven), no one likes an unreliable messenger. Also, geez, does EVERYONE want Breel?

I think it's adorable how Keene is holding the hand of his mother the whole time. At least we know it does make things easier.

I have no Idea why, but when I read the title of this chapter, The first thing that popped into my head was the old "House of the Rising Sun" song...Most specifically this small bit of the song

"I got one foot on the platform, The other's on the Train, I'm goin' back to New Orleans, To Wear that ball and chain."

I have no reason why, but it just popped into my head literally as soon as I read the title of the chapter as I said..

So does the Green Husky count as the 4th animal or are we still waiting for the 4th?

Of course the trains in heaven are crowded yet everyone can find a seat

I am assuming that the Green Husky is not the forth because the other 3 were introduced with the title being 'The First/Second/Third.

Well, this confirms something that was asked on a previous strip, people in heaven can see people in earth, the Green Husky girl has been checking Fox, cant decide if that cute or creepy xD

I think he actually is dead, but maybe he wasn't supposed to die? I mean, how old is Kenee? Doesn't look that old, nor do the other ferrets. And to our knowledge he wasn't sick or had anything to overdose from (I'd assume if anything, orange soda ). For him to just casually pass out and die like his vision implied just doesn't seem to make much sense.

Though him staying in as a ghost DOES seem like a rather interesting idea

I think he died saving a life before his time and he needs to carry around a spirit egg for a while, then destroy that egg to save another life then get back his body cause he's a good guy but he has to be a spirit detective.

There are not a lot of humans in Heaven. Are you trying to say something Rick? If so, I completely agree.

That was likely an assumption on Breel's part. It's still possible that he's not dead. Whether or not that is the case likely hinges on what Cerberus wants to show him here.

I bet it's a human who didn't really find good company with anyone (even their family) and instead lived with their dog alone, maybe to old age. A touching, heart-felt story really, they're both the same tall height because they saw each other as equals in life.

... Ok yeah, either that or they could definitely be a furry. Or it could be Keene's owner waiting for his dramatic turn-around reveal.

Also, I REALLY hope Fox does get that letter. This miscommunication needs to be resolved. D:

According to a previous arc, there are at least two Heavens. Remember when King was trying to decide if he should become human again? A statement was made to him: "Though animal Heaven is more lenient than human Heaven..." So we can assume there are at least two Heavens in the Housepets! universe. I would guess that there are probably more, but the only thing I have to go on is a lack of evidence. (I don't recall seeing any reptilians in the Heaven we've seen so far. Spirit Dragon doesn't count because we've only seen her "in space," in her "bedroom," and on Earth/Gallifrax.)

Well, I'm still in denial and holding on to my delusion that Breel is just a really good friend and their relationship is platonic, if that makes you feel any better. Honestly, though, I kind of wish Rick had left Breel's gender up to the imagination.

Presumably because you lived your life as a human, and that is how you see yourself. Not that you couldn't decide you wanted to be change things up, just that people don't always feel the need to

You'd think, but in Second Life where you can look like anything you want a lot of humans want to look like humans, weird as it sounds.

I don't know about Second Life, so I'm going to ask - how much effort does it require to not look like human there? If it's even only "a little more" it can actually be a major factor.

You know whats funny? I just realized that in the last strip Keene was protesting because his mother offered to hold his hand to make him feel better yet in the first image of this strip hes holding her hand

These days, it's about the same as putting on a new dress, jacket, or hairstyle.
