It's nice to see Rufus again, even if he's now dead.

I am conflicted!

Why'd you have to spring this on us today of all days?

Okay... I have mixed emotions here... Hello Rufus !

So... Rufus did die. Heh, well, he was old... Why do I get the feeling this is a Subtle nod to 'Housepets: The Series'?

Wonder what he'd be here? Possibly a warrior class. Also, it's a shame that it never mentioned him dying, maybe receiving a letter that Rufus was dead.

1st: Alright, Rufus is back!
2nd: BUT AT WHAT COST?!?!?!

Well, had to happen eventually. So wait... how does he show someone he loves them when the chickens in heaven are moving?

I figured it would be more dramatic, though.

I also got this weird feeling i know where this is going as well. Like a tease that makes me want to scream into a pillow.

It took me a moment to realize we didn't know Rufus was dead. Either all that fanfiction got to me or I just correlated "Not shown for years and years" with "is dead". This arc seems to be attracting returning characters, old and new, anyways.

You know with all these characters returning, how much you wanna bet this is going to be the last arc?

All the recent talk about eye colors has me looking for it. Rufus' right eye is a different shade of blue than it used to be.

I don't even want to think about the possibility. Besides. Pretty sure Rick would have said something. Also, you don't bother continuing to evolve the art style if you are just going to do a couple more arcs before stopping, and there was recently an art shift.

I'm now suddenly worried about the status of the crazy old man who only speaks in limericks.

...I can't tell if that's the saddest way or the least saddest way to reintroduce his character, but I'm sad none the less

I mean, I was saying that this plotline could lead to the end, but it really DOES seem to be building up to that now... but I still don't think that'd be a good idea. Sure, the plotline fits and ending, but we haven't had this plotline long enough for it to be the one meaningful thing that marks the end. I'd be okay with it if there were a decent amount of arcs building up to this but there was really only like, 2? No way this arc in particular is the end, but it does kinda leave the ending window open and available.

He's going to get a massive pile of great plotting

but, for here and the now the plotlines are knotting
as heaven's taking a look...

Well, I have to say this was not how I expected Rufus to show up again. I wonder how much he's going to do in this arc, I'm sure Grape and Peanut have quite a few questions for him.

Still hoping that Zach and his Possum Gal join the band, along with a certain Green/Yellow-eyed Skunk and his Hummingbird pal...

It took me a bit to remember who the fourth on Joey's team is. I keep forgetting that Squeak is there too.

It is sad that Rufus has Joined the choir invisible, so to speak, but he is in Heaven, and we know it's nice there.

As for Res, I'm looking forward to his reaction when told that these kind of magical shenanigans are common here in BG.

It's rare that the dead dog comes from the farm.

I don't think this is the end. I just think Rick is using this as an excuse to say "You wanted these guys to come back? Here they are!"

So... each party has 2 angels helping them. Who will the to the mana pool first ? And more important, who is gonna wear the coolest hat ?

ohh maybe everyone turn into furry/human hybrids and connect to A&H club

I was kinda expecting that Ptah and/or Satau appeared like this, but no Rufus :O

It does really give those vibes; but also, if that was the case, why split this arc on two for the end of year? Still... u just give that idea to my brain and now I cannot get ride of it! D:

I doubt Rufus will really help Keene, I guess he is more there for Peanut and Grape.
As for the head...well...that is going to be hard to tell, but I place my bet on team Peanut and Grape.

Spring and Summer are "Rufus's Angels".

One returns with him, the other stays with Fox. ;3

Peanut and Joey are in different teams, so I'd guess Peanut's team would be on Tarot's side.

Looks like they're dividing into multiple parties here, huh, and more angels. So it's going to be one of those dungeon crawls where everyone's scrambling for the loot and the DM's messing with the players.

This is turning out to be one of those massive build-up arcs where all the characters gang up and make their dreams come true.

While Res and Rufus are here and i'm extremely happy about it, i can't help but wonder: Where is Max?

Having him absent for an arc normally woudln't bother me, but with this kind of build-up, now i'm starting to wonder...

He'll make a surprise appearance on Keene's side along with Bino.
