I'm betting by the end, King will start to hate camping. :P

King is reminding me way too much of my dad with that portable pancake grill there

The rose tinted eyes of youth
block out reality, it seems,
making the best neurotic Corgi
one who’s forgotten old screams.
Scrapes left his mark on the wild,
his blood taints the feral air
as he recalls he really enjoyed it -
I suppose you had to be there.
His happiness is really weird,
and it’s even so to his pup
as Olive hangs on to her mommy
and wonders when she’ll pick her dad up.
Because, with the Wolves, he’s bound to fall
and looking at them both, she’s almost as tall.

Ooooookay, this is not how I saw this going. Bailey and I are having the exact same reaction.
“Who are you and what have you done with my King!?”
Even Olive is like “Mommy, Daddy’s scaring me.”

For what is worth King being a camping enthusiast isn’t surprising. It actually lines up with everything we know and seen from him before. https://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/20 ... ey-gasses/ (Notice the name)

I thought this was about the wolves but now it’s a King arc? Make up your mind.

Also is anyone going to say thing about why Bailey is suddenly so purple. I know it’s been well over a year since we’ve seen her but whoa. That is way to purple.

For all that Pete was a bit of a jerk, he at least gifted Joel with the cutest dog body the world has ever seen.

That middle panel. Just... gah.

[Anhedral rambles off, muttering incoherently.]

So we are going to pretend King is going to have a great time because he remembers the good times (and some of those are pretty bad... gash needing stitches?!)...

So anyone taking bets on how long in till he perfectly wonderful person about something? I could totally see... five minutes.

See the idea of going outside is nice. Get together with nature. Feel free and fresh air! It is then the reality sets in... It is hot and humid and there are bugs and dirt and bears.... Bears I don't mind but dirt and bugs and humid and hot! Outside sucks! I will wait for a holodeck.

Can't ever get enough of King's family. Now the only question is will they bring their puppies along as well?

Ah the potential chaos! Not to mention potential wild animal characters they may run into along the way. My bets on that even when the entire camping trip is on literal or metaphorical fire King will be having a blast.

As I see it there are two possible scenarios right now: One, worrywart and cynic King is enthusiastic and excited to go on a trip in the wilderness with the wolfs or two, King's body is being controlled by a new cosmic entity while his soul is trapped in an extra-dimensional labyrinth. I'm leaning towards option two but I could see it going either way to be honest.

I gotta agree with Bailey, I haven't seen King excited for many things before, and it's kind of weird... But on the other hand, pancakes!

"I decided I's gonna take my family campin'. Because I remember as a kid how much fun it was—sure it was fun, 'cause I didn't have to set anything up, man. We get to the campground, I'm off gettin' poison ivy—I was happy! As the dad, I'm now the pack mule that brings it in, and the [blockhead] that packs it outta there!"

It's called being a man, Bailey. All men love camping.
Or, well,
Browsing outdoor shops and catalogues and buying camping gear anyway. And showing off our manly camping skills to our friends and progeny.

Well, there's a couple ways I could see this going. Either King really is wearing rose-tinted glasses on camping and ends up being the first to crack and want to go home, or--and this is the option I'm hoping for--King will be the only one of the entire bunch who *isn't* miserable, and jovially leads the way through the woods while everyone else is sweating profusely, aching horribly, and desperately fighting off bugs.

The first option is probably more likely, especially if they decide to bring the pups along, but I am also now picturing one of King's pups following along right next to him, imitating his movement. Meanwhile, everyone else stares dumbfounded from behind at where he suddenly got all this newfound energy.

Can't wait to see them own the older folks. Except Bailey. She gets to be the champion with Lucrecia. :3

But regardles, I'm looking forward to another nice King Adventure! Maybe he will meet Craig and Draig there^^

Wait, is this Arc taking place AFTER or DURING the Last one? It'd explain a lot if it's the latter...

Yeah, Bullet, that could be a real interesting meeting...especially if Bailey recognizes Craig. We'd be talking serious kit endangerment... !

Whoa, I wasn't expecting King to like camping. Especially considering he doesn't seem to like anything-
Lets see If his enthuiastic, nostalgiic point of view lasts for long though.

So is this going to be all of the wolves, King, Bailey and their pups camping? Or just them with Miles, Lucretia and their not-so little little ones? I kind of what to see what Other Daryl would think of camping, so I hope it's the first thing.

Haha, you right. You right.

And that old comic reminds me that the way I want this arc to go is even less likely than I thought. RIP. ; ~;

This.
I hope this is the outcome, 2nd one, would be nice seeing king not being bitter about something. Also seein everyone else surprised by his camping capabilities. Lol

Ah, nice, so they're really going to camping. :) Aww, yeah, nostalgic King is very cute. :D He has already some experience with camping, and with related injuries, too. :P Oh, seems that you still don't know your husband very well, Bailey. ;) If there will be pancakes, it'll be a nice camping for sure! :D

Wow, that exact story about gashing your leg open on a rock and having to go to the hospital for stitches happened to my brother back in the 90s.

I had part of my nose cut off and sewn back on. That was fun. They didn't have anesthetics.

Do you ever wonder what “wild animals” would be like in this world? From what we’ve seen they aren’t wild. I have a hard time imagining Joel camping and this random wild animal, like a cougar, walking up to him like “hey kid, give me your food. While your at it that’s a nice tent you got there. And is that a portable pancake grill?”
I guess in hindsight it would a lot more like yogi bear than anything else.
