Their costumes are perfect.

I’m gonna be honest, the first moment I saw Peanut I thought he was dressed as Jill Valentine from Resident Evil and I was like “neat, Nick Wilde and Jill Valen-“ then it hit me. I mean, google It and look at Valentine’s attire, it’s very similar! Hahahaha

I was not expecting a Zootopia reference. Wouldn't costumes like that be uncomfterable with fur? Compare these outfits with the much looser ones in the first Halloween special:

I am so ready for a spooky Halloween arc~

And naturally Grape and Peanut genderbend the costumes. They also actually fit the characters surprisingly well: Grape the lovable cynic, and Peanut the bright-eyed optimist.

Yes, Halloween story! The truely scariest thing in the strip is the video rental place. Next thing you’ll see is VHS tapes

No offense to a Peanut but he is not pulling that costume off. But I do love the Zootopia thing. Two and a half years later and it’s still relevant. :D

Never thought I thought I would miss seeing those two as much as I have. I love King more than anything and I love the wolves too but four months was a long time.

Okay, now to business. There are eight strips including this one ending on Halloween night. So will this be a fairly quick story or not?

For what’s it worth it took me a few seconds to recognize that Grape was covered in straw. I thought it was static electricity at first but then again I have been watching Pokémon.

I never thought I'd see Peanut donning Kevlar...

The "Zootopia" costumes are a cool touch. Looks like this arc could be a movie-themed misadventure for Peanut and Grape.

Hm, Halloween, spooky weathers, video rental stores, brown and purple characters. I'm feeling a Savestate vibe. ;)

OK, first off ~ Peanut Judy + Cop costume in one = genius.

Grape Nick + casual boy shirt and tie = super funny.

going to a movie store? Pure nostalgia.

This arc is shaping up to be a must-see and i'm already excited. Rick, take my money.

It's good to have some time focusing on Peanut and Grape again. It doesn't seem to happen very often these days.

Wait a minute, field maze? Whoa that totally went over my head. So the state that literally advertised corn everywhere during the state fair doesn’t have a corn maze? Is that some kind of sick joke or is the corn so scared that they wouldn’t defile it by making it into a maze?

Or the one place they went to doesn't plant corn at all? I doubt that every acre would be dedicated to a single crop.

I've never seen anyone make a corn maze myself. Not in my part of the country, and there's corn everywhere here. If someone makes a maze for the season, they usually build it out of square hay bales.

There is a site that’s tells you where to find corn mazes.

*gasp* guys do you realize that this is like the first time we’ve ever seen this much detail of the city before!

I would imagine a potato maze would only be challenging for a mouse. I wonder if Spo has any interest?. In nothing else, it would be safer than a Midnicampum holicithias maze. What is in the foreground of the first panel? Did Grape take a dive into a hay bale and is knocking that much out of her ear? Is it just me, or does the leash and tie in the second panel look like a tiny person grabbing hold of Grape's collar?

Peanut's wearing trousers! (Pants to you lot) I think that's a first.

The soul clings to joy the night vampires stalk for blood.
Purple and Brown wander in a lonely town.
No back up, no friends on this cheerless night;
no-one to help these hapless babes in the hood.
A door to the deep past has pushed itself open to them;
drawing them inside like jam to a fat fly.
Browns’ curiosity will endanger the Purple one.
Will she rescue him or will she his soul condemn?
(It’s not much of a choice really, is it friends?)
As the desperate night of the Saints begins early,
and all manner of horror crosses the screen,
be careful what you wish for; evil never ends...

It would be pretty funny if they actually rented Zootopia.

Okay so what do you thinks going to happen? Cursed tape like “The Ring” or something like that episode of “Regular Show” where they got sucked into the three movie combo tape or maybe something where the movie characters come to life but they become friends with Peanut or they watch the movie and one of them becomes possessed by some vengeful spirit or they help the spirit find eternal peace or it turns into something like when they Imaginated “Pridelands” And became the characters. I vote for the last one because that is still one of my favorite chapters ever.

Or maybe it was all a dream..... or maybe they fall alsleep watching the movie then they’re in the movie and everyone they know are the characters “wizard of oz” style.

Oooh, I hope they rent “Pet Sematary” :D

Extremely handsome boys aside somethings giving me good feelings about this arc. Maybe ive just missed peanut and grape centric arcs. Golly whatll these pets get up to next?

I really like the whole masculine female and feminine male aesthetic going on between Grape and Peanut. Though Grape is significantly more masculine than Peanut is feminine, it's still there.

Is this gonna be a Housepets version of that one tv show episode format where the characters watch a clip show?

I've missed those two. Halloween and Zootopia to boot (and gender reversal besides!).

Okay I think I figured out what happened. They were in a hay maze when Grape tripped on a potato and fell into one of the hay bales which is why she’s covered in hay.

Hm, what would Pet Sematary be like in the Housepets world? In our world's version of the story, things didn't get truly horrifying until someone tried resurrecting a human, and since animals are sapient in the Housepets-verse...

Goodness, I think Pet Sematary would actually be a more horrifying movie in this world.

Peanut and Grape dressed as Nick and Judy is something I didn't know I wanted until I had it

Especially since the genders are reversed (though Grape has mentioned she's made Peanut be Juilet before ;) )

Watership Down. It's such an uplifting movie about cute fluffy bunnies. Or maybe The Brave Little Toaster.

I think Peanut rocks that Judy outfit thank you very much.
