Title Text: had a few crates of these in the garage

Bah, they'll let any unordained person think they're a priest nowadays.

I like the callback to both the Great Water Balloon War and Sabrina's wedding. Also that even Nega Breel is polite enough to wait until after tea for murder.

So the trap’s a little bit c... bad,
like it’s been made by a right twit.
There is no burning water here;
Keene just doesn’t have the right kit.
Nega’s getting extra soggy
for which he’s stuck in the right place.
An effective move to escape
might be a towel right to the face.
I don’t think Breel’s going to run;
I don’t think he wants to hide.
I think he wants to hear himself;
he IS on forgivenesses side...

I can hear the water gun and the water dripping off of Negabreel's fur. I'm starting to hear the comic help.

Maybe Neggie's just a confirmed coffee drinker, Breel. No pleasing some folks, I guess.

Well, seeing that they didn't have holy water, they could always try for a makeshift cross (worked for Peter Cushing in the one Hammer Dracula film). If that doesn't work....er...call Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing?

Sorry, Hugh Jackman is currently busy making really bad musicals about abusive circus ringleaders. You'll have to choose between Anthony Hopkins or Peter Cushing' Van-Helsings for the time being.

The fact that NegaBreel can TELL that it isn't holy water implies that the real stuff WOULD work on him ...

Wouldn't that require an old priest and a young priest?

That would require a working phone and some pea soup.

At least we now know that NegaBreel is somewhat civilized and also a reasonable would-be murderer from this strip. He wait until the muffins were done and the tea was drank before going ahead with disemboweling Breel. :|

Don't let Nega-Breel anywhere near a crucifix, stairs or drunk film directors dating your mom.

So Keene did tried to set up something, unluckily it was a bad plan.
Still, kitsune has seen them, so he should be on its way. But Breel has to run now!

Aww, but why? Your nice alter-ego has been so gentle with you, NegaBreel... :| Yay, Keene on the rescue! :D More or less... :P Ah, so it's simple tap water, and yes, you're not at all a priest. ;) Now better shout out that Breel must run! :?

That can't have been very well thought out.

Honestly, it's kind of impressive that Breel was able to hold down evil himself for that long. Shame that it was all for some Not Holy Water.

There'll just be no living with Max, once they figure out that nip works against the demons.

Keene: "We need catnip,and we need it now!" Max: "I believe I know where I can put my paws on a good supply of the magic weed! To the Maxcave chums! There's not a second to lose!"

Where is it established that nip will work against the demons and NegaBreel? Is that an upcoming spoiler? :?:

Guess Nega-Breel is also not a fire type, then.

If anything, I think he would be a Dark/Ghost type. Heck, he even has the same coloring as Sableye who is the only Dark/Ghost Pokemon. (Spiritomb is technically Dark and Ghost, but they are reversed.)

That means that Fairy-types are the only moves that are super-effective against him 2 times. He is immune to Normal, Fighting and Psychic (sorry Tarot!) and Poison only does half-damage.

where the heck are they going to find a fairy?

so going to assume Keene didn't perform a proper blessing on the water to sanctify it and just did something g half-baked if that before dumping t in the super soaker

As it was implied from the dialogue, Keene thought that since he was ordained he was a real priest and could bless the water which would make it holy water to use on NegaBreel.

He’s not even an actual priest, judging from that last line.

Apparantly, Keene's a pastor
Since he's officiated in the past, or
Is he? The water doesn't seem to burn;
Not ordained, what a way to learn.

Breel, make haste, quickly, run!
What comes next isn't gonna be fun...
Nega-Breel's dripping, sopping wet,
Your soul, marten, he wants to get.

Silly Keene. Don't you know that holy water only is holy water when blessed by the Pope?
