You know, with how much he's talking about Egypt, I wouldn't be surprised if Kitsune did think ahead and somehow disabled that temple, just in the off-chance he'd do something like this.

I bet Craig is really annoyed that the mushrooms that he ate didn't outright kill him because if they did he might have been reincarnated into a different animal that Kitsune had nothing to do with. I doubt Kitsune would bother splitting his time between Draig and the next reincarnation Pete is in.

I wouldn't be surprised now if because he is a fox Craig is able to eat all sorts of toxic things and it doesn't kill him outright. Heck I wouldn't doubt it if Kitsune made him unable to die so he could serve out his punishment. He would still be immortal, but with no powers what would the point be?
